And for the Record VEVO stole this video that I restored and are using it as their own making money from my hard work. I restore the music videos on my channel because I love the Music and hate that only poor quality copies are available on TH-cam -not for profit. VEVO then proceeded to harass me threatening legal action to have my TH-cam Channel Removed if I don't pull my video down after they stole my video and uploaded it as their own via there email hugohelmigvevo110@gmail.com. All the Videos I upload have a deliberate Time coding error introduced in them so I can Identify that they were created and originated from my computer.
Thank you. So very much. 💙💙💙 much love to all the true music keepers and makers in this world. I love music videos. They just took one of my faves down again. Hopefully it will pop up again.
Christopher Cross is in the year 1999 when the rest of the band is in 1979. I think its the facial hair fashion and clothes he wears, he just looks like hes from the 90s grunge era - so cool, ahead of his time.
I never saw this video until they showed it one night on VH1 in the 90’s and I thought the same thing…in fact I thought to myself…about time they made a video to this song…lol.
It's a great song, I never get tired of it. Not sure if this song has made it on tv during a car/convertible or a motorcycle commercial, but it's deserving. would be a great vehicle song track for a commercial. Job well done to Mr. Cross and his band for making this cool song. Thanks for sharing this. Peace.
One of the absolute musical highlights of my generation. I can remember very well, how they played it up and down at the Hüx in Lübeck. I still cherish it today after so many years
ahh...I had forgotten how superb this tune is-the video is a hoot, partially because MM's footprints are nowhere near the studio, but love his backup vocals. Kudos, Michael, Chris, and the crew....and yes, please turn up the lead guitar solo!
That's the point where I had to get creative with the audio as I couldn't find an audio track that matched the video length (radio edit) so where's the original audio track tapers off in volume I had to taper it up which had the effect of bringing the guitar forward in the mix.
I like the live versions of this song so much better than the studio version for one reason...the solo at the end by Mr. Cross, who flexes his widely unknown guitar prowess. He's lighting it up, and until it was pointed out by Rick Beato, I didn't even know that Chris played it. It's criminal that it's so far down in the mix on the studio recording, as Beato points out.
Master piece of legend who remind me my 17 .. Still always enjoying it so much and vibrate deep in my soul .. The story behind the song th-cam.com/video/bNwTJh4Wx5U/w-d-xo.html

So sorry to hear about this. You did a fantastic job on the song/video restore 😊
That’s cool you code them for forensics. Chin up.
I salute you sir
Well be careful, you know what they did to Michael jackson, Prince...
Thank you for doing this. We appreciate it.

Never appreciated him as a youngster, but Christopher Cross is bad-ass.
What a voice! Also, having Michael McDonald as backing vocalist makes this song special.
I always recognized Michael McDonald’s voice as a backup singer! He has a such a distinct voice.
Truth, both great singers. Michael was my favorite Doobie Brothers singer
It’s the added touch of Michael McDonald that makes this song fire
Don't give a fuck how old the jam is, it's still kicking. Endless. CC hit it out the park with this jam.
.
I agree.
The drum...
Chris Pratt sure can SING

Hahaha spot on observation. I commented recently that he looks like young Jack Black trying to stylize as Jimmy Buffett. 😅

doesn't matter the outside appearance when ya have SOUL, it SHOWS 🙌 Chris & Micheal got it...
This is 1 kick ass song
thank you for the upscale and remaster of this classic....wow..

@@TerryJonesPrinterRepairsits my favorite guitar solo and very under rated...thanks for doing this.
@@Jdalio5 It was purely by accident, but turned out just nicely.
Remember this one yes it was 1979 big hit here in OZ
