  • Born in 2002, the Toyota Unser is just a year younger than its owner, and we check it out on the infamous Ulu Yam road. Rear wheel drive, and built as a body-on-frame, the Toyota Unser is almost legendary in its durability and reliability.

Toyota Unser was a bullet engine and solid car. My family owns one unit but still running strong and very comfortable when traveling outstation. and the aircon was damm cold.. love this Unser, especially its manual transmission

When I went back to my wife’s hometown, its an opportunity for my left leg to get some exercise with my in law’s Toyota Unser manual. 160km/h on the meter is 130km/h on gps 🤣

Oh my goodness, this 'Angsa' reminded me for my late teacher...He was tough and could slap at anybody's face without hesitation....But, he was kind and caring if we doesn't mess with him.... His Angsa was later model with fancier headlights and fog lights down at bumper..
I remembered being sneaking away to shop with him & other schoolmates, especially during co curriculum activity... It maybe gutless but gets any job done...
Somehow he could jammed 2 photostat machines in it...
Sadly he already 2 years passed away... Seeing you UNCLE with that ANGSA, make my eyes to tears again.... 👍👍👍

We have a year 2000 Unser manual too in the past till 2020. While we sold it off due to the car starting to leak oil little more frequently & a failed fuel gauge which was a bit expensive to fix, plus none of my family using the car much, the rest of the car was all solid including the dash.
If the FC wasn't a huge concern, this will still make for a great people carrier till today. Even the power windows & suspension were working almost flawlessly.

Still owning an unser lgx model 2003, very nice and durable mpv. Installed with a ngv for ten years already. Everything is fine. Went for trips to cameron for 4 times already from johor. Very good for long journey with family. The aircond is very good & spacious. Very lucky to own one.

I own the last model of this car to dated unser lgx auto fit with efi system 1.8cc year 2004 or some call it unser king! nicely built luxurious creamy colour look inside. Very confort driving fit all my 9 grandchildren inside! Fit with adas, 9in android player working power Window well and also have adjustable electric side view mirror. In the future I would replace the engine with 2LT diesel turbo engine. By the way unser is trouble free vehicle just fill fuel and drive no mechanical problem. Thanks ys Khong you are the.

It's fun listening to you two. I enjoyed the long drive as well. I have the same Toyota here in Manila except that it's LHD, mated with manual transmission and it's called Revo here. Very tough car that's built like a tank. It even has the same 7K engine but fuel injected. Cheers!

Fun Fact: Toyota South Africa turned one of these into a rally car (with the stock 2.4 petrol engine massaged into making 180ps -probably also great at making the 1.8/2.0 look economical) for marketing purposes not particularly successful but has a few podiums under its belt.

Hi Uncle, no doubt that Unser is a reliable workhouse but it has super light steering, so light that d driver felt the car is disconnected fr d road! So when u said d handling is not that bad, .....its actually quite good, I take it as a joke! No bad intention here, just to point out what real world is.
