Imagine carrying the pain of someone never meant to exist and lost all their friends no matter what they deserved or did, a child soldier from the past unjustly put into a coma for years and doesn’t know the fate of his two best friends who could be dead and a replica who had a heart who was made to copy another person’s existence and keep them in stasis, them unaware until they realized along with that fact, they had to die in order for you to live, that is horrible
sora needs to realize when you steer into void darkness way too long it steers back at you the delusion sora has is believing he can be defenceless without a weapon because he has his friends by his side, but after what happened in kh3, sora really does need a weapon .
Soras scream when everyone dies always brings me to the brink of tears. To be pushed to that limit for someone like sora, it fucking hurts watching every time
Let me just put this here the Keyblade %100 choose Sora. Out of EVERYONE he has the strongest and kindest heart. Nobody could ever be more deserving of the Keyblade than him. Sora is too humble to accept this and its fraustrating.
I hear some fans say that sora doesn't go through most of the crap the other protagonist go through which is why he's always so happy go lucky but I don't believe that. Sora goes through a lot of crap hell what makes his journey even harder than the other's is that he had no proper training for the adventure what makes sora special is that he always try to look at the positive of his situation and in the rare moment's he can't find it he turns to his friends who he never pushed away unless he was brainwashed to
For me, Sora is one of those fictional characters that underneath all that goofiness is a lot of trauma that he went through, but Sora is one of those characters that took those traumas like a champ, which is why he smiles.
That type of pain is what makes us grow as humans. Every last moment every betrayal, every stressfull moment, every hurtful word someone ever told us. If we just sit back and try to see what sort of wisdom we can gain from it we would grow in ways we never thought possible.
Soras pain is something people usually don't mention when talking about his character, and I think that him being goofy and cheerful in spite of that is what makes him an amazing one.
A lotta people miss that scene at the end of KH2 where Sora admits to his darkness, only to throw his pain away as soon as Riku falls. I really hope that going forward, the series helps him realize that he’s important too.
I’m glad were able to have a perspective of how we all saw that scene but like…throw his pain away? Sure the franchise can be cheesy but I seriously doubt that line was meant to be taken so dramatic. And a lotta people just know that the realm of darkness is capable of mentally and physically affecting your mind, body and soul with darkness. And Sora calmly said “y’know maybe the darkness has gotten to me too”. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s admits to his darkness. He’s just saying “Yeah dawg, we’ve been here for a good minute or two its starting to get to me.” Obviously he’s gonna running towards a fallen Riku. Thats his best friend after all.
Now that I think about it Sora always had pain such as his island being taken away from him, his friends taken away from him, his weapon taken away from him, his powers taken away from him, and last but not least his own LIFE was taken away from him. And even after all that pain he still smiles and that is what makes Sora... Sora.😁
Honestly I cant wait for KH4 because I feel like we might actually be getting this big Sora arc. KH3 teased this a lot, but it seems like he’s genuinely going through this type of smiling depression. After his seemingly ego and self-esteem in DDD got destroyed at the end because he failed and lost when he was left to do stuff alone and needed his friends help to save him, KH3 just kept giving hints that he really feels like he’s a lost cause and is worthless without them (obviously when everyone dies). He also kept going the extra mile to sacrifice himself and breaking the rules of nature any chance he got, a complete desperation trying to save his friends without any second thought put into it, as if he thinks getting detached from them in any way means that his importance in life just diminishes to the point of him feeling almost nonexistent. Now that he’s alone in KH4, I feel like this is the perfect chance to finally dive deep into Sora’s character and his arc.. I don’t wanna raise expectations for myself, but imma be mad disappointed otherwise… Also I just wanna add these potential young xehanort foreshadowing lines everyone seems to be brushing through … “Young Xehanort: So what happens when those bonds are stretched to their limit? When they are worlds apart, can cloth and plastic hold on to their hearts? … What? "Your friends are your power"? How very true. But if the light of friendship is a form of power.. the darkness of being alone is a power.. even greater. Darkness is the heart's true nature.”
I'm 100% with you. In KH3 Sora even realizes the bond with Pooh Bear was getting weaker lol. I HOPE they stick with the Sora arc. Imagine if they just have the first world as sora alone in the new world then after, it's straight back to classic Disney worlds and Sora Donald and Goofy 😂
@@God-TI think the problem with this idea is that Sora actually always makes friends everywhere he goes, so even if his usual crew isn't there, he'd probably just make Strelitzia his not permanent new beat friend.
He becomes sillier and sillier each game to deal with more and more pain...the ending of KH3 where he let out that scream of absolute agony that was Sora letting it all out.
The silly guys are usually the ones that suffer the most. I think it adds to his character. The games want to make you think that he is just that cheerful positive guy but If you think about it he is hinding a lot behind his personality. It's like a mask. I can relate to that very much.
You should add the part of the conversation with chirity when he asks why he is in pieces and chirity reassure him and then says that " on the inside who knows ? But on the outside you are just fine " This little line, means a lot about his character and also just induce us, the players that, yeah in fact, he may be more torn that we think. Same for the convo with the nameless star where he says he has a lot of thing in shoulders that he had to deal with and cannot rest yet
A lot of the fandom, the people playing the game and the fans miss the fact that Sora is always held up by expectation, the expectation to link all hearts, to bring back those that were lost, to be the guiding light, to restore, to fight to be better, he’s done exactly that, when he was in his prime, when he was strong, when he was just a little boy looking for adventure, in the end, when given a burden he couldn’t shoulder, to lead his friends to war, to stand out after the monumental failure of his test to become a Master and gain the Power necessary to do that expectation, he stumbles because those bonds, his naïveté and confusion led him down paths that drove further away, for closure, for relief, even after a year long break of combat, he’s expected to do well, to be a Master but he failed, he almost lost his Heart in his overconfidence and competitiveness, when he already proved himself, and finally, when it’s all said and done, his actions are rewarded with the peace of those around him, yet he’s left behind in a place where he’s all alone, erased from existence, all because he couldn’t protect the one he loved, to bring her back he had to mess with reality so dangerously, it risked being all for nothing, yet he succeeded due to everyone else, though alone on his endeavor, it was the light of everyone else who gave him the faith to keep going and bring Kairi back, but again, he’s faced with the consequence of his failure, left to accept it for what it is, and leave everything he loves behind.

Sora pretends to be happy go luxky all the time to hide his teauma the funniest most silly people are sad inside nut hide it because they don't want people to feel the way they do! Sora hides his feelings deep inside to protect his friends, this man truly has experienced all the sadness in the world.
@@MokaReligieusethat's not a good enough reason. I get he and Riku are used to fighting, because it's their way of expressing self-improvement, but it doesn't make it the only one. In fact, expecting it to be the only one is unhealthy. As unhealthy as being happy all the time.
Yeah, I really wish for this to be revisited at some point. The main problem is that Sora has never lost. This means that he can ignore the pain and darkness he has and doesn't have to face it as long as he doesn't fail. Sora says it himself. He is not strong. It's his friends that give him power. As soon as he loses those friends, it's over. We have seen this in KH3. As the primary guardian of Kingdom Hearts, he is not strong enough and the Keyblade he is wielding is not even a Keyblade that chose him for him. My idea would be, separate him from everyone. Throw him into the deepest abyss you can find. Separated from all his connections so he is weak. The Keyblade he is wielding will leave him as well. It chose him based on the power his friends provided to him, not for him itself. This leaves open the chance for a Keyblade to really choose him for what he is. Let that Keyblade be a complete piece of shit, not even able to cut bread. Sora is weak, therefore the Keyblade that will choose him is gonna be weak too. What you can now do is A) let Sora realize his shortcomings and own weakness and B) provide him with a Keyblade truly of his own. Throughout this Journey, Sora will form his own strength and with it, the Keyblade will grow in strength too. In game terms you could make it a non-numbered title, let him have this single keychain which becomes stronger and will look more impressive as the game goes on. Of course, this is also another excuse to make him level 1 again.
I Really Hate Xehanort....✊️ For Making Him Suffer... But That's Doesn't Mean, He Was Worthless, Even Sora Gets Hurt Or Losing People, He Can Still Bring Those Hearts And His Bond(And His Power Too), So His Connections Was Never Weak, So That's Strength Of His Was Made Of His Friends, That's Why He Trust And Love Them!
