The rout was in effect, and the PA announcer tried to save SU in Round 7 - didn't help; that Annihilate was mid. It started out strong, and I liked it, but it almost turned into a concert piece.
The angle dont matter if the execution is not good. It dont take the camera to be in front of the band to hear execution, which SU wasn't given the majority of this battle

I agree with you that this game came too early on schedule. Back in my day, The Boombox was mid season and we started preparing for them from game one. Everybody we went up against up to that game were just victims of warfare that got caught in the wake.
The more I listen, i’m starting to think SU didn’t think Jackson would show up that early since they normally always late and they had to play more songs in the Zero than they expected and most of them were suppose to be saved for the next battle. No excuse tho.

It has to be a clear and convincing win, or SU will get the nod, kinda like the tie goes to the runner in baseball. I have a bias towards DaBoom (TrumpFunk '85), but when they are mid, I gotta call it like I see it and be as objective as possible.
