There are at least 4 of these recording on TH-cam. This definitely has the best quality audio. You can tell who went to what schools by the comments. There is no recording that offers an even perspective. HBCUs have to realize that the band is a major part of the drawer and start offering media better spots to document and promote their games. JSU has a much better angle for audio in this video. I watched another version where you can hear the tubas at all. I’m not a JSU fan but I know that would never happen.
SU has the power, their issue is and has been for the past few years ARRANGEMENTS!!!!! some of them are basic.... I've Said it before, Haymer and Simmons were the secret sauce to the Jukebox's success.... yall need another hitmaker on the team. The current staff all write the same. All the music is slow to mid tempo and its safe/boring. Look what Simmons did at Txsu... he hired a dream team of arrangers. Everyone of his writers are Beast. Yall gotta step it up.

I love both bands...i think JSU is the best band in the land and SU is a very close 2nd, but in my unbias opinion: -JSU always had a more clear sharper sound than SU and SU always had the power -Also i feel like JSU is a better band as a whole and SU has better sections individually But ima deff say JSU takes the W in this one in all aspects

The difference between the bands is this. JSU sounds exactly how they sound on here in person. But southern sound is so much richer fuller and thicker jn person the camera can’t capture the true quality. The fact you said full just shows you just spewing out words. SU sounded full on like two songs maybe and yes they have power but who is debating that with a band that has 250 plus brass players. Now JSU sounded full throughput even if they didn’t match the volume at times
The difference between the bands is this. JSU sounds exactly how they sound on here in person. But southern sound is so much richer fuller and thicker jn person the camera can’t capture the true quality. Again JSU was pushing and they sounded great and it’s clear the best 4 bands are SU JSU TnSU and TxSu but SU is so far ahead it’s not funny
