    But how do you prep the canvas file for them to download and then edit themselves in canvas? Do you share the link or ?

    Thank you for the video! One question plz. What format should we upload those frames to Etsy? Should we gather all of them on pdf format from Canva when we’re done ?

    • @DefinedByAlex
      @DefinedByAlex  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Great question & yes you can either upload a zip file or separate pdf files.

    I'm so frustrated. I cannot find any directions on how to prepare the file. It seems like you skipped a few steps and had a Zip file ready to go? What do I save the Canva file as? What does the buyer need to do with the file?

    • @DefinedByAlex
      @DefinedByAlex  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sorry to hear that you're frustrated...to further break it down, you will download the files from Canva as whatever file that will be functional to your buyer. For ex- if you're buyer wants a jpg file, then you download that file from Canva as a jpg file and then once you have multiple jpg files, you can Compress them into a zip file and then upload that into Etsy. Once a buyer downloads that file, they will just download that zip file and then get all of the individual jpg files.
      I hope this helps.

      @@DefinedByAlex As you sell frames in this case, I doubt that they will work in Canva as frames if you provide them to the buyer as jpgs. I`m a bit confused here too with that part. Do you provide a Canva template link for the user to get the frames? Other than that, great tutorial, easy to follow - thanks a ton for sharing!

    Interesting - like others, it seems like you skipped the most important steps. So, you're not sharing a link to the canva template itself - you're providing an actual .pdf that you download from canva and put in a zip file for people to open. That's not the typical way I've seen this done. I think, especially in this case, it would be MOST helpful if you upload the file to etsy and then download the file, open it up, and then edit it so that we can see/understand the process a real customer would go through accessing the file. I think that information is more helpful/useful than research on whether frames are in demand - because we already know that. These were good tuts, but I felt like the most important thing was missing - how the end user uses the product (in case they have questions). I see the process is outlined in your description that you flashed briefly on the screen, but would have been better to go over this explicitly. And yes, the Personal Use Only part def needs more tweaking/clarity as personal use only is the opposite of commercial use. I would call it something like Limited Commercial Use. I'm sure there is language that exists that you can use to let people know that they cannot repackage and sell the frames themselves - only end user products they create using the frames that have been altered and incorporated into a complete design or something. Anyway - nice job. I actually learned a lot from watching this.
