These are great watches. I own a Prw-30, Prw-60, Prw-70, PRT-B70-2CR, PRW-6600Y-1A9CR, PRG-600-1CR, PGR-3000. I really wish more people outside of Japan would give these watches a chance. There as tough as you'll ever need , gshocks are over kill and they wear so much more comfortably then most gshocks being thinner watches in general. They are also allot smaller starting with the Prw-30 and 60 series. I wear mine, hunting, fishing, camping hiking, everyday beater, you name it, they've never skipped a beat and gone through just as much as the couple of gshocks I have. Yeah the earlier watches got hugh dials but that makes them legible in just about any condition. 😅 I plan on picking up a 61 series soon. I hoping they bring a version out on a titanium or combi bracelet first. I've been buying some casios on titanium and combi bracelets lately and with my big wrists I think that's the way I want to go in the future.
Thank you for review, just got the brother prw 6611y1cr myself. Like you I didn't get it because of biomass, which I think is a great idea but also one of the cleanest most functional hopefully bifl watch. Can't wait to abuse it and see how it holds up.
Thanks for the review. I really like the ruggedness, functionality, and clear layout of this Pro Trek. I might pick one up, as the price is quite interesting for the value offered. Certainly better than that other “bio plastic” disgrace..
I have a pocket watch at home that was made around 1790 and several watches that I wear that were made in the 60's and 70's. Planned obsolescence isn't good for the environment making things that last is. As a watch enthusiast I'm not interested in something that I can't pass down to a grandchild.
These are grab and go watches. Every watch needs to be serviced, and automatics are the only watches people service. A solar watch should last 10 years and maybe 20 years.
Can you please suggest which model I choose PRW-35, or PRG601, two which one is better? My wrist size is 6.25”, also I love analogue watches, I am a beginner in these Casio proteck models
I set the World Time to Wellington New Zealand which is +12 UTC which is also UTC in Greenwich Mean Time. So you can count plus or minus without changing to UTC on the watch. It's a full GMT. The furthest is Kiritimati but that's +14 UTC and the watch doesn't have it.
Believe it or not the Rangeman GW-9400-1CR is cheaper than this watch but everytine to press the barometer and temperature it goes back to home screen very quickly.
Please help. I want to buy a screen protector for this particular watch.. although i know its 47.1 mm, the silver ring around the screen it troubles me. What size screen protector do you suggest?? Thank you
I just measured with my digital calipers & crystal is 35.4mm, including very small bevel around the bezel edge. my calipers aren't precise enough to measure just the flat of the crystal. If I was ordering a protector I would go smaller like 34-35mm. The bezel slightly taller so the crystal edges are protected.
If both watches are atomic, in theory they both should tell the same exact time right? Well if you notice; one watch is off by 2 seconds. how is that possible???
Very few are. Off the top of my head I can think of prw-50fc-1. Most of them are usually limited edition or jdm or both. Because of that they can get pretty pricey for a pro trek.
Yes. There is the PRw-70 / 7000 series and up. Frankly though you can get a 5 dollar piece of circular gorilla glass sized to your watch dial off amazon and not have to worry about it. Once that glass is on you can't even tell and if you scratch it that's easily replaced.
hi it's ben. can you also do a review of the prw-61y-3er? because the one you're showing now is cool. And I have that too. And that one is the best. And if you show the Other, that's cool too. greetings ben.
Commendable that Casio are taking this route, but it is not biodegradable. The Casio promo you used as the intro even shows it being incinerated at end of life… Nice watch though.
Гавно полное, банальное удешевление, начиная от упаковки, закачивая подсветкой. Не покупайте этот шлак ни в коем случае. Берите старые модели с ультрафиолетом и в деревянных коробках

Love hiking and these pro trek.
Trying to decide between the PRG-600-1CR and the PRW-6611Y-1CR.
Did you ever make a decision? I am debating the same

I've fallen down the pro trek rabbit hole. Just wish I didn't have twigs for arms.
LOL omg me too
i got my PRW-61NJ-1JR today so happy 😁
Really sweet stuff! I might just sell my new garmin instinct 2s and get one of those

I just recieved my Casio ProTrek PRW-6800-1JF from a friend of mine in Japan as they do not sell in the USA. It's the watch to end all watches.. LOL
Hi. Do you need a Bluetooth connection for her to count the steps or does she do it alone without a cell phone?? Thank you for the answer
Second hand is hits sightly left of the marks..
So how long will the case last?
I'm almost 5 years into daily wear of a G-Shock GW-M5610
20
Hey Maverick, since we both live in NYC (I'm from The Bronx), does the atomic clock function work here without much issue? Thanks.
It does
What’s the model number of your other titanium one ?
Prw 60T

Did you ever find out what size? I’ve heard 37 mm on forums

The sec. hand actually shows direction North.
I can't believe that you switched away to fiddling with the strap, with 15 seconds to go before 3pm.
Hmmm I’m having a tough time choosing between this and the Seiko Arnie
Arnie all day for me :)
@@maverickwatchreviews yeah it’s pretty sweet and iconic.

Accuracy + different sync time, most likely
Are you uploading every other week now?
Biodegradable materials? Will the watch fall apart after using a few years?
Yes, it will only last a couple years then it will disintegrate.
@@maverickwatchreviews 🙄
For real?????
Kun je ook een keer een review doen van de prw-6900y-1aer?
Just curious, is there any Protrek with Sapphire?
Very few are. Off the top of my head I can think of prw-50fc-1. Most of them are usually limited edition or jdm or both. Because of that they can get pretty pricey for a pro trek.
Prw-7000
check out the PRW-60FC-1AJF

186m ??? What City?
I like the new one better. It's not pretending to be something it's not

Hope the Biomas does not turn to goooo after a number of years.
Calico.
A watch made out of garbage, nice.
Did you watch the first 90 seconds of the video before commenting?
Are you under 15 years old?
There is an oris with a garbage dial... but not this one pal.

Ногти надо стричь....
Need to learn English...
Sustainability, bio plastics, and recycling is stupid. Plastic comes from oil. Drill baby drill.
oil simps. fascinating.
You sound very uneducated.
Ты бы хоть ногти постриг…
I love it when these women comment on my nails...lmao. At least live in a non-garbage country.
