As a military man, I would never pick a watch that needs a charger or one that it bright and colorful. Without access to a charger, which often happens in the field environment, any smart watch that needs to be charged much like a phone, will quickly die and become useless. Bright and shiny watches will give away your position from a long ways off from a simple glint of sunlight. A few good choices, but mostly horrible. Besides, civilian GPS, whether on a watch or other handheld device, can be jammed and be used against you.
I totally agree. I wear a Casio Pro Trek PRW 2500. Its is totally solar powered and has a 6 month power reserve in total darkness. It has a power signal sensor that receives a signal from the nearest Atomic station to keep it within 1 sec of accuracy per year. It has a built in compass, thermometer, barometer, altimeter stop watch, timer, multiple time zone, moon phase, tide graphing and will be completely accurate until 2099. Love this watch for any outdoor treks, life and adventures.
As a retired U.K. soldier of 24 years I would NEVER buy any these gimmick blingy watches. I speak from experience, the best military watch you can buy for the money is the CWC G10. It is bomb proof. It has a simple black dial with illuminated batons that is very easy to read, mat finish 36mm case so it doesn’t glow in the dark like most of these junk watches that will give your position away, it is accurate with a Swiss (eta) quartz movement and it is cheap to buy at about £300. I have had my G10 for 26 years and I have only changed the battery twice in that time, which you can do your self because it is fitted with a battery access screw in the case back. I also have an Omega Seamaster, Rolex, Oris, Hamilton and Seiko watches. But the watch I wear the most is my G10. It is simplicity at its best and just brilliant.
Thank you for your service. Gshock is the new CWC. Better in every way. Also emits nothing for the sigint boys and opsec. All the mil peeps run gshock or garmin.
I have a Suunto Core, it's foolproof, easy to use and read plus it's low maintenance. That is what should define a military watch - some of these look a right faff. Probably the cheapest too.
I agree, how can you exclude Marathon???.big mistake. What do you do during mission when your battery dies at a critical time or you have no access to an electric charger?
None of those watches are tactical watches, tactical watches are completely black to avoid reflections. If you wear these watches during an operation, the enemy will see your position and will shoot you between your eyebrows and open a new air hole. I don't know if I expressed myself well.
The Suunto Core has the worst watch face of any watch I've ever seen. Absolutely unreadable except under perfect conditions. I bought one, you can have it.
I can't take a "men's" military style watch seriously unless its got at least a 45 mm case. Many of the watches you've covered are excellent time pieces but their manufacturers are missing the message the market has been sending for a decade.
So you did a top military watch review without including the Marathon watch company who actually is a supplier to both the American and Canadian military, are you for real ? They’ve only been around since WW2 and are also deployed around the world in search and rescue teams, paramilitary organizations and other very rugged conditions.
Marathon is an overpriced watch that offers no viable features compared to the G Shock Rangeman and Mudmaster series. I'd rather pick the Seiko Arnie SNJ025P1 than the Marathon in the same category, it offers both the quality and durability of the Marathon at a much more valuable price.
Bezel has a short e sound. It's not pronounced beezel. Maybe you should watch some other watch channels. I'm not trying to knock you, just trying to help your credibility with watch collectors. Also, Marathon absolutely belongs on this list.

What would you run? I prefer an automatic watch/no battery.

@@lonestar2047 dang sounds like a nice watch, jack of all trades. I just got a sieko field watch, automatic, day and date lol. No battery though
You absolutely do have acces to charging devices. Most people use Garmin watches that needs to be charged now and then.

Navy SEALs' issued watches have been changed from Submariner to G-SHOCK.
Military Watches.Look at the videos and what the soldiers have on their wrists:
Casio,Casio,Casio,Casio,Casio,Casio,Casio,Sunto,Garmin.
See the movie 13 Hours.
@@tyronewalker5764, Sérieusement mon ami..casio, garmin, suunto..et ces deux derniers, seulement si tu es "spécial".(croyez-moi, au revoir)
disappointing that no prices were mentioned!
A simple dive watch or g-shock would be your best bet. The rest are just toys that draw attention or take too much time to fiddle with.

No mention of Sinn or UTS watches, worn by the German GSG9 special operations and the German Marine Search and Rescue teams?
G shock 6900 simple and tough

I've been in the army for 20 years and the best watch I had back then was a simple G Shock. Less than 150$
All dat amzwatch watches sssssoooooooo gorgeous!
What’s the watch on the cover?
The Suunto Core has the worst watch face of any watch I've ever seen. Absolutely unreadable except under perfect conditions. I bought one, you can have it.
promaster is nice, I have the green dial version, but this model has been discontinued
You forgot Marathon GSAR
I have casio,luminox,garmin,suunto

Casio G-Shock Mudman is best.
Marathon GSAR Automatic is the best!
Iam about to return a gsar. Super disappointed.

People say Luminox is not good
casio gshock gw-9400. the best military watch😊
Lucky I got Suunto Core.
Can my father, who is 81 years old, buy a smart watch or wear a classic watch, and which one is more appropriate for his age??
A classic for sure.
All depends on his personal capabilities.
You should see the condition of my Kmart watch ⌚️ Its like it gone into a cement mixer. Still working 😂
G shock gw9400 the Best!

I don't remember being issued a Marathon watch in the Marine Corps. They didn't supply me with a dang thing.
No CWC G10, British Army watch?!
The movement of the automatics are unsurpassed, the ones with quartz movements are dull .that pause doesn't please me
Lol😂 best joke of the decade!, u comparing a Tesla with to a ford, time to evolve.
@@expomm The continuous movement of the automatic second hands are unsurpassed hahaha .
What is a tesla near mustang v8 ?
Nothing 😅
The Elliot Brown Holton professional is a true military watch.
A quartz movement is more accurate,no its not got a sweeping hand but the military prefer quartz...
Lots of Casios on here!
Só Máquina é difícil de encontrar esses modelos acredito que só em países Asiáticos!
What’s a “beezel”?
You heard him too?😮
Casio Master of G
Ces vestiges nous rappelle d’où nous venons et ceux qui les achètent sont nostalgiques avec beaucoup de troubles du comportement
Best mil watches are being made by marathon, Hamilton, Seiko, Bulova. All the watches in this video aren’t watches, they’re gadgets.
No prices 🇬🇧
Only one watch for the military: G-Shock, nothing else
I am not wearing a white watch, I don't care who built it!
Just get a G-Shock of any kind.
Most use garmin but depends on opp

G Shock sucks they have a short lifespan and subpar textiles

are these videos all text to speech, or is everyone who makes these functionally illiterate?
Buy a GD-350 or a DW-9052 and be done with it !!!!!
Lmao. Kinda left out the king of military watches. Anything by marathon. This is a joke.
Luminox watches are garbage 👎 they don't last more than two years 😯
HA, mine didn't even last a year!
Total Garbage IMHO!
Nothing is better then Casio G-shock mudmaster 1000 soloar put the rest of them in a trashcan waste of money 🗑️
