To anyone wondering why this video was so delayed and why it's so chopped up, it's because Warner Bros. doesn't believe in 'fair use,' and neither does TH-cam. Hope you enjoy!
That clip of the Anne Ramsay interview was so very sweet and endearing. Its kind of weird that the cancer that killed her also kind of caused her distinct end-of-career laudit.
Yes, @jefforsburnjeffe4380, Anne Ramsay rocked for sure! And thanks for teaching us all a new word. Either I've just had a stroke, or this is my first time encountering "laudit."
I'm curious how it holds up today for those who didn't grow up with it. The 80's was a pretty boring time to be a kid in the suburbs, we would spend a lot of time just riding our bikes aimlessly trying to find something to do, so this movie really tapped into our desire for adventure. The whole story is completely ridiculous on every level, it's hard to imagine it resonating with kids today in the same way, but maybe it does. My favorite of the "things that make no sense" is the fact that the Spanish all rhymes after it's translated to English, but didn't rhyme in Spanish.
Great points! It's a movie that is probably most relevant to those who grew up in a time before cell phones, etc. As you say, the whole thing plays out like an extended wish fulfillment for bored, adolescent suburbanites. At this point, even far more recent movies like Spy Kids probably feel badly outdated, so Goonies probably seems pretty cheesy.
Welcome back bro looking forward to the next 29 mins of my day. Did you manage to get on other platforms yet? I’ll follow you over on those too if you have

I liked this movie however.... When I saw "The Hills have Eyes" those movies unfortunately ruined Sloth's character for me. I am nowadays convinced that Sloth is a deformed mutant cannibal
That's actually a great plot twist. The Fratellis are keeping him chained up in the basement so he can't feast on the innocent, then Chunk screws up and endangers the whole town by setting him loose. 😆😆 😆 HEY, YOU GUUUUUUYYSSS!

Thank you for the comment, @darkain666! The bank says we’re not allowed to write anymore checks, so we’ll have to pay you in crypto this time 💵💵💵
There wouldn't be all these issues with copyright if we just elected Barry to supreme chancellor
That's right! People can't make copyright claims if when they're bankrupt.
