Is your airsoft A hard plastic or alloy/full metal? So if the airsoft is a full metal won't this brake the gun in a strong/long spring?like the spring on your sniper without cutting it?
This pistol have metal slide, metal barrel and metal spring stop, other parts are made from abs plastic. My pistol is still working fine, so no, Im not afraid. Without cutting, spring will not fit into the gun.
@@johnbottcher_g I used 7mm sniper spring in my spring pistol (in the video) I don't know what your spring AR uses, but if you can measure the outside and inside diameter of your AR spring, maybe I can help which spring would be good for you.
Is there a reason why a very stiff spring alone is not feasible to launch a BB? Is it necessary to convert the spring energy to compressed air energy? Is there some law in physics that limits the speed at which a compressed spring can decompress? I'm imagining a device that is much stronger than a plastic gun housing, but I can't imagine why no one has done this. Do you know the answer?
- How would you put a strong spring into the barrel which is 6mm in diameter? - How would you hold the BB in straight line when you fire the gun? - How would you spin the bb in front of the spring for 50-70meter range? (hopup effect) So yeah, its quite neccessary to convert the spring energy. Its not working only with the spring, that's why noone did this, and noone will do this. (I like your question tho, its great!)
@@airsoftvseverything Thank you for your reply and insight. I have a crude idea that involves holding the bb in the breach of a free sliding barrel with weak magnets. The barrel and the bb will both launch forward as the attached spring decompresses. As the entire assembly stops suddenly, the bb’s inertia will overcome the magnetic resistance and carry it through the barrel. This is one idea that doesn’t account for the hopup effect. I expect it will launch but not very well. I’m going to post a drawing to my channel as I know that my description is inadequate. I was planning on experimenting with this before I asked you. Hi, brother. Something interesting would be the inclusion of a larger barrel. The volume of air produced inside the cylinder tends to be greater than the volume of air the barrel holds. This percentage of air that exceeds the volume of the barrel is expelled after the BBs exit. Incredibly, this extra air volume that is lost has greater compression power. I have a gun like that and I know there's no way to change the barrel, because the hop-up is fixed, but you can thread the outer barrel of the gun and attach a mock suppressor, it will certainly increase the FPS. Because with a larger barrel, the compressed air will be fully utilized.

Hi. Yes. The end of the pistol (spring stop) may break down with the stronger spring if its made out of plastic. Piston and the piston catcher are the weakest place without upgrade, so if you make the upgrade, I don't think, anything can go wrong with a bit stronger spring.

First, dont cut anything, just put in and check, sear is able to catch the piston or not. If not, cut 0.5cm down, and check it again. If not, just repeat it, cut 0.5cm again and check. Its a time consuming proccess.
Do i need any aditional upgrades to have a heavy spring?
Yep, trigger sear reinforcement is recommended.
You can find that link in my pinned comment, or in the video description.
hello congratulations, where is it possible to find the spring in question
Hi! Thanks!
Just write in google "m135 airsoft sniper spring". This is the easiest way to find the best shop.
Hey, do you know the diameter of the inside of the piston and the lenght of the original spring ?
Hi! No, sorry. But I can measure for you both, but you need to wait until thursday if its ok.
Thanks for the reply, but dont bother taking yours apart just for that, I'll measure it myself when I'll receive mine 👍
@@ghostmarksman235I can't find the original spring, but it was around 76mm long.

will this all work on a 0.177 gun
This is an airsoft gun, but you can upgrade pellet guns too with double springs.
Wow 360 fps bro...🎉🎉🎉..
did you cut the length of the m135 spring so it can fit?
Exactly.
I have an spring AR, do you think this m135 spring will help?
Depends on the internal parts quality (+plastic thickness)
Trigger sear upgrade definitely important.
If spring coils are similar, it can work.
@@airsoftvseverything it an aeg spring?
@@johnbottcher_g I used 7mm sniper spring in my spring pistol (in the video)
I don't know what your spring AR uses, but if you can measure the outside and inside diameter of your AR spring, maybe I can help which spring would be good for you.
(hopup effect)
So yeah, its quite neccessary to convert the spring energy.
I have confidence that you are right, but I’m curious to try it nonetheless. Thanks again for your reply.

Did you upgrade the piston and piston housing of your 1911 pistol? An also did you change the rubber(air seal on the tip of piston) ?
I just put the steel sheets on them for reinforecement. I only placed an o-ring on the tip of the piston, if you saw the video. No other changes.
and also imma put o-ring on the tip of the piston coz the compression is bad without o-ring.

Hi! :) I know what you mean but that's a lot of "work" for a small FPS increase. (I think)
Will an M140 spring work? I'm just anxious what if it broke but, I'm still confident that my gun can handle it my pistol is m1911 tactics takedown version it has a metal slide also but the cylinder is plastic and some of the parts of my gun is metal alloy, will M140 sping will work?
50-50%, but I think, it will work. But do it on your own risk..
First, you have to reinforce the piston with steel sheet. I have a video link in my pinned comment. Check it, please! Without it, don't try the M140 upgrade.
(If your trigger sear is plastic, reinforcement is needed too..)

Plastic or metal bb gun ?

Hi, thank you for this tutorial. Do you think some plastic may wear out faster since you are using a stiffer spring? I'm plaining to do the same with my M92 from KWC and my Cybergun MP40, but before I will do the sear upgrade as your another video.
Hi. Yes. The end of the pistol (spring stop) may break down with the stronger spring if its made out of plastic.
Piston and the piston catcher are the weakest place without upgrade, so if you make the upgrade, I don't think, anything can go wrong with a bit stronger spring.
Nice and interesting videos you're making! But shouldn't have the 135 spring given considerably more power? 140 m/s should be around 2 joules, so 135 m/s should be around there as well, shouldn't it?
Thanks!
Its a good question.
Firstly, it isn't a full size m135 spring (in lenght). Furthermore, pistol have small cylinder size. Airsoft sniper replicas have 6-7 times bigger cylinder volume than this pistol.
