@@Destin65 Cant be more accurate with that silencer, maybe just the slightly bigger weight on the front can control your shot movements better. Accuracy come from hopup unit + rubber. I totally believe you, but it just can't be. Please, dont lube the barrel or the rubber. (only the trigger sears and O-ring)

@@airsoftvseverything you're right to some degree... I have been working on my stance and my aim and did a lot of testing, around 100 rounds worth last night. However, that revealed another curiousity. I fired upwards of around 100 airsoft rounds at paper targets, usually 15-25 at a time so I could see the pattern develop. I always aimed at the same point, Olympic-style and ISSF/NRA style aiming where the top of the sights are just below the bottom of the black on the target. Works great with bb/pellet rifles. Even after working out my aiming issues and stance and started hitting all around the black center of the 8, 9, and 10 rings... that's when I noticed an extra pattern. With 0.12g BBs the pattern is slightly above the black in a nice group. With the 0.20g BBs the pattern is slightly below the black and in a nice group. The heavier BBs were actually hitting where I was aiming. For a funny moment... my girlfriend came out to shoot. She's hitting all around the bullseye with ease, on just a 3-shot group. Stunned, I asked her, "How did you do that, what was your aim point?" And she goes, "I aimed down here (pointing to lower left quandrant of paper) because your pistol shoot high and to the right." My eyes also got stuck crosseyed because they were rolling around in my head so fast after she said that! Anyways, my last two 15-shot tests had very tight groups (minus one stray) that were around 2 and a half inches, or around 63 or 64 mm group. This is from a 5-meter ISSF/NRA BB-gun competition distance. So, I am getting better with the airsoft PPQ. I think it's like my air rifle, it feels a little light and that causes errant aiming and I fight to keep a tight grouping on each clip. But yes, thank you for the tip on looking at my aim. It seems that perhaps I was making the barrel rise slightly when I'd pull the trigger. I now use opposite hand index finger to rest on the fore end of the trigger guard to help with that and keep barrel on target through firing process. BTW, the girlfriend I noticed pulls her BBs to the right with the way she works the trigger. I had her adjust her form to use the pad of her finger and to pull more steady through firing process. She also got back down the middle and wasn't shooting so far to the right.

@@Destin65 Thanks! How did you find this 6yrs old video? 🫠 The last two shots from a Cyma Glock 18c (190fps with 0,20g bb) As I read, you have 190fps airsoft gun, don't go over 0,20g bb, not worth it. Its weak sadly. What about your Walther PPQ?

@@airsoftvseverything I found this while searching for a penetration test video for Airsoft weapons so that I could compare how they were versus a BB gun or Air Rifle like what we currently have. We use a hallway in our home to serve as 5-meter and 10-meter target distances. And I wanted to consider using Gel or Airsoft weaponry to do it a little more safely and less risk of damaging the house. I watched it a few days before leaving my comment. I made the comment after having bought my Walther PPQ with silencer that is spring-action type. It will penetrate some thin cardboard from point-blank range, but from 5-meters it bounces off even the thinnest. That's fine, that means it's low-risk to damage the house! So, for now, we have to use a t-shirt or other article of clothing in a box, and behind where we place the target on, so that we don't have to chase the plastic bbs all over the house after shooting, haha! I was considering getting one of those sticky gel targets they sell for airsoft as that might work better. For now I'm happy with it, it shoots high a couple inches where I'm aiming with the sliencer removed. With silencer screwed on, it's more accurate or at least hits closer to where I'm aiming at from 5-meter distance. How much of that is me and subtle aiming movements I'll find out over time. But it's possible the silencer adds enough weight to it that it is steadier to aim and shoot. Just like my bb gun when I fill it with 650 metal bbs and it takes on that extra weight and it's so much eaiser to aim than the Air Rifle which feels too light by comparison. I might try to find a way to add a pound more weight to the air rifle for better feel and steadier aiming. Anyways, I saw you listed the weapons you used, so I'm just speculating that my spring PPQ must be around the same FPS as that CYMA Glock you listed. That's fine, it's fun and easily penetrates paper targets from 5-meters. We mainly wanted something as both a fun gun and as a training tooll to work on our fundamentals and improve our shooting with any weapon without risk of injuring ourselves or the house, haha.

@@airsoftvseverything what I really am dreading now is helping my girlfriend buy the $179.99 Umarex Glock 19 Gen 5 green-gas powered Airsoft pistol that she wants, haha! Thankfully she has around $90 in gift card money saved up to lessen that blow.

@@airsoftvseverything oh yeah, forgot to mention that the product information for the PPQ says it shoots "up to 300 FPS", but most probably down around 200, maybe 250 at best. I did fire at a thin cardboard box from about two feet and it ricecheted and hit me in the belly which stung a little, haha. A sting about like a pin prick I'd guess. And is why I wear safety glasses when shooting these! The bbs that came with it are 0.12g and they are so light that it might be why accuracy is off. We're about to go shopping and I'm going to pick up a 10,000-round container or 0.20 to see how that compares. Only two sizes that are sold in the area close to me, otherwise have to order via shipping.

I like these, I like to read them! :) I will/can't give you long answers because of the lack of my english knowledge. 1, Your springers doesnt have adjustable hopup system, so don't expect better accuracy improvements from the 0,20g bb.. But groupings will be better with 0,20g bbs. Usually cheap springer boxes indicates FPS with 0,12g bbs. So 300fps is rather 220-240/0,20g bb. Only 2 feet and bounce back? Thats around 110-120fps(/0,20g) only. My little colt .25 have this "power". 2, I don't know how well you know my channel, I really like airsoft guns, but I don't have even 1 gas powered replica. Reasons: (cons) - They are not cheap - Requires the most maintenance - Not consistent FPS due to changing gas pressure - Hard/expensive to upgrade them - Green/red/black gas (or Co2) is extra expenses (pros) - The feeling May I ask what BB gun & pellet gun do you have? I have a PCA airgun, I can compare for you almost anything. Do you have any video request? I mean, penetration test with weak guns or anything what you would like to see?

​@@airsoftvseverything also my place only has cheap bbs (The ones you get thousands of for like 5) and i only have cheap low quality springs from cheap springers( they are longer than the original spring that im modifying but it looks like the same kind of steel) is it possible to deter rats with those upgrades? The seals on the piston seems to be good (compression test same as the video was good) so no upgrade for that

@@iNSRTING I don't know anything about rats, I never even see one in real life. Maybe if you hit them from really close range (under 15meter) you can deter them. Are you from somewhere Asia?

@@AceofAllAcesJames5558 What bb weight do you use now? (0,20g? 0,12g?) You will have a bit better accuracy with 0,25g if you used lighter bb before, but you will have lower FPS. (Your replica will not be more accurate with heavier bbs if your hopup system is not good, or if its a fixed hopup system)

@limaxkv17 Normal usage: The max is 11,7 Joule with 0,48g flathead pellet (12 pumps). With overpumping (12+), you can achieve few more Joule

You will be dissappointed, pistol is not strong enough for the steel bbs. Too heavy. Steel bbs are "good" at least 680fps or above

@@WR77TM I don't know how long it will last, Im not counting the shots. Its definitely stronger than a common factory version shotgun. My shotgun is still working fine with the upgrade.

@@pinkoball4165 Yep. You can lubricate the trigger sears, under the slide, piston rubber + barrel cleaning. And yeah, it just a cheap springer, but its not a lot of time to maintian it for a longer lifetime. (~5min proccess)
