Seeing the light means nothing. If you're lucky you be in the epicenter and you won't even have time to register the light. Seeing the light likely means your going to die a painful death from ras from the fallout or from the immediate exposure.
I still remember a poem written by a survivor of Hiroshima bombing, it was too sad. In wars , common people are the one who lose the most.it made me cry , it would've been sad to watch death coming to them and they can't do anything.
To see death's approach seems the cruelest part of this story, yet it brings out wonderful qualities in some of the characters, like the children's book author who is able to find the perfect words to comfort the little girl she doesn't know, and the teenage boy with the three girls, whose dad told him to continue to smile because that's when he looks best, and he finds a reason to smile - that he is able to spend his last minutes surrounded by pretty girls, the luckiest boy in Fukuoka! It's still massively heartbreaking (the dad watching helplessly as his wife and son die over the phone), yet I love this short film. Why does pain from artistic expression make me feel good?
