PLEASE do a video about the ironically named channel "Healthy Family Force?"
I have come across them a couple times and am concerned, confused, and not sure how they are able to use family members with severe mental illness to beg for money to eat - while they livestream cooking meals in their bathroom - as opposed to working jobs. It's a bit disturbing.

I know that for any type of show like this, there’s a danger of there being class action lawsuits, but the fact that the production are *anticipating* that there will be, treating it like it’s a FACT that there will be class action lawsuits against the production screams that they know exactly what they’re doing and don’t care. I just want to know where the $100,000,000 Jimmy got from Amazon to make this show went, cause it sure as hell didn’t go to things like buying food and water. I guess renting out hotel rooms in Las Vegas for 1,000+ people could get expensive, but, then, don’t cast so many people??? If you do these things publicly, you will not have any reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give something to a needy person, do not make a big show of it, as the hypocrites do in the houese of worship and on the streets. They do it so thag people will praise them. It sounds like oversights were definitely made when it comes to the Beast Games, but when it comes to his previous videos, you need to realize that EVERYTHING is a business. Hospitals make money from sick people, reshab makes money from disabled people. You can't expect MrBeast to NOT make any profit and simultaneously have money to help people. Call it "exploitation" if you want, I call it positive business.

I know people who were forced to withdraw from medications and have gotten seizures because of it. I feel like we really glossed over the "required to give several pairs of underwear which were not returned upon disqualification". Not only was this an abhorrent way to treat people u are hiring for a video, it may have presumably been a scheme to get underwear from women. Even if it turns out they were to just throw away the underwear they were given it's still highly questionable as an action to keep someone's underwear like that.

Exactly! Especially considering the fact that the Mr. Beast crew are majorly men and they're protecting one of their friends who was recently outed as a pr3dator (which makes me wonder whether they have more such people amongst them). I don't understand why they had to collect and keep the contestants' most intimate clothing item (and sanitary pads too).

    • @ACreeperMaybe
      @ACreeperMaybe 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

@em84c personally I tend to stick by the opposite of the phrase "never attribute malice to what could be considered incompetence". Men in power tend to weaponize their own incompetence against other people IMO. Even if it is likely that they just didn't have systems in place to keep track of clothing and medicine then that goes to show they didn't have the empathy to consider that being a potential problem ahead of time. If I were to run the same gameshow, no one would be surrendering food, clothing, medication, or health products because it's an unnecessary step that just creates problems down the line for myself and the contestants. If I were to decide surrendering those things was necessary to the integrity of the show, I would have people tag and sort stuff to be easily accessible as well as not restrict access to those things at the contestant's request. Keep in mind that Amazon sent out a statement saying they were also "unprepared" for the situation. Amazon has too much money to be unprepared for any situation. Money solves every problem but incompetence and incompetence will always be malicious in the pursuit of profit over human life
Edit: and if this is a problem of the employees hired being overworked and unable to do the job needed, that's a problem with how Mr. Beast prioritized saving money over paying for union labor

She was in a similar TH-cam production with him and would've placed 3rd in the contest, but he selectively edited the footage to make it look like Logan Paul placed ahead of her and Quackity (who wouldve gotten 3rd and 1st I think), another big TH-camr, because Logan is more famous and a man and men do better for the algorithm or his views idk. He also let a guy break the rules of the venue and win, so cheating was rewarded. At the time, she also got majorly attacked for it and told she was being dramatic when she was just pointing out that Mr. Beast lies and selectively edits things and is also unprofessional because he did not give her or others a heads-up about the edit.
She made a video about it at the time, but I think it's deleted. Should have done what every competition show with a large contestant pool does and travel to different cities and have mass elimination rounds in those cities selecting only a handful of winners from each who will go on to travel to Vegas for the actual competition. They could pre screen the contestants and have the same selection process just have them travel to different cities closer to them vs all to Vegas just to be immediately eliminated and still have the burden of providing food and clothes for that many people. There should have only been like 50 people who actually made it to Vegas for filming that's a more manageable number and even then most would still be sent home in a day one mass elimination because the audience isn't going to engage with a show with too many contestants to get to know.

So he got $100 million dollars to make this show and only offered at most $2,000 dollars for any participants silence over all the illegal/inhumane activities they were subjected to? 0.002% is the highly insulting salt to the wound of all the physical harm and trauma caused at their expense to line his pockets. That's wild!

I'm not saying what the Beast Games did was right, but I WILL say do you have any idea how expensive it is to make a show? You might say $2000 is an insult, but when you realize there were 2000 contestants it changes the math a bit. The prize money by itself was worth 5% of the entire budget. The $2000 compensation would have equaled another 4% of the total budget. I feel like giving away almost 10% of your total budget to the contestants is not a good way to "line his own pockets" as you said. Just saying 😅

I'm not experienced with seizures but in college I had a friend who took band with me who has epilepsy. He said that his medication, sleep, and food routines were really important, and messing up any of those cycles could potentially make his symptoms more unpredictable. If these folks were sleeping on a floor, had no access to medication, water and very little rest, I'm not surprised at all that there were medical consequences. The production should have at the very least vetted their contestants better and informed them of the specifics of the games. I'm sure they would've had far fewer participants and would've had to change the rules and guidelines.

I've never liked Mr. Beast, but I have always thought that he was AT LEAST doing some net good with his stuff.
And while MAYBE he is still helping more people in greater ways than he is hurting people...That kind of goes out the window when you KNOWINGLY, PERSONALLY perpetuate human suffering and then try to absolve it by throwing money at poor people.
Like, yes, I own a phone that probably was made with cobalt mined by child slaves. But I did not set up the system to be that way, nor did I have a choice to have an ethically sourced phone. I did not create the conditions such that these companies actively seek out impoverished children to exploit in the creation of an item basically demanded by the way the world functions now. I speak out against such practices and if I had the power, would punish companies engaging in such exploitation.
Mr. Beast is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for EVERYTHING people experience in his shows because he orchestrates all of it. And the fact that these issues KEEP HAPPENING shows he is not only aware, but also doesn't care to fix any of it.

I just don’t understand why this rich guys put on acts like this and won’t pay workers or for actors/contestants to have safe working living conditions when the prize pool is 5 million fucking dollars. Let’s say Mr beast is GENUINELY struggling for money, make the prize pool a normal fucking size like every other game show and use the rest of that on ur workers or the contestants or both, u can make it work but he’s actively choosing not to for cheap labor. Really sad tbh.

It’s unfair when the news article says the allegations are untrue. Every single thing that was reported is absolutely true. I was one of the older contestants in the beast games. When I arrived at the Rio I was told I had to stay in my room until someone came and got me. I was to order room service for my meal that night. Some people went to the casino and the pool because we were imprisoned in our rooms for 2 days. I was told they were sent home if caught but never actually saw anyone be sent home. Room service didn’t arrive so I was told go to the food court buy something and come right back to my room. I actually thought this was part of the show being locked up for two days. The television in my room did not work but maintenance came the second afternoon and brought a new cable box. Contestants were guarded 24/7 so I never left the room. The other item not addressed was the 8 buildings on the production floor. There were port a potties disguised as set props. They were never emptied so the smell became rancid. I could not sit sleep or walk next to them. The last day of filming they lost my sleeping bag and no one was concerned about it. I snuck into the bleachers and laid across four chairs to get some sleep. I do believe it was day time because with no clocks or daylight we had no idea what time it was. It felt like I was filming as 1 am all night long. When I was discovered I got a stern warning to get back on the field floor and the 2 production staff watched me until I got all the way back to the floor. I was one of the contestants that takes medication at night. I sent 3 emails to staff and they never responded. I got my medication late in the afternoon after we started shooting. My under garments were Fed X to me after I got home from Las Angeles address so I spent 4 days in the same undergarments. To say the challenges were unfair is an understatement. I was highly disappointed when I found out this was not the Amazon production but just for Mr. Beast you tube channel. It felt like I was the guinea pig for some Frat house antics. Did I want to compete? Yes . When I was escorted to my room I asked staff “should I be worried because so many young people” he said no, it will be fair just like beast games. Somehow I made it through the whole production but didn’t make it to the real show. All of that made me believe this You Tuber took on much more than he was prepared to handle. I am one of the few older contestants that managed to survive but not without injury. When I got really mad about the production is the reports the Amazon, Mr. Beast denied all the allegations. EVERYTHING STATED ACTUALLY HAPPENED! I still have the phone call about the additional $1000. Just buying silence. Nope not going to work. Mr. Beast team should have just been honest. The last lie we were told was wait around because several people will be able to move on to the Amazon show. So we waited for hours to just get yelled at that whoever told us that was wrong. I saw people crying and very upset. Don’t deny the allegations because someone is trying to save face, all these things really happened and our expectations were far from the reality but I guess it makes good content to see people trampled and hurt. I am patiently waiting to see the outcome.

had a friend who worked on crew for one of his videos (he hired a lot of local freelancers for this particular video-don’t know if that’s usually what he does or if that just happened for this particular video but considering the crew he has for this show, it seems like he does this regularly). he said the hours were ridiculously long with little to no breaks for much lower pay than it should have been for that kind of shoot, it was extremely unorganized, his “friends” were rude to contestants, and mr beast himself had an ego and didn’t really acknowledge the crew and just kind of dropped them in their filming locations with little direction and dipped for the majority of the night until he was needed on camera again. this wasn’t even an early video where you can chalk it up to inexperience, this was a year or so ago. ever since i learned that i was always sketched out by his whole filming process and how he allows contestants to be treated on set, and it seems like my friend’s experience tracks with what’s happening now. he’s been doing this for too long to chalk it up to inexperience, and if the producers/directors/production people he hired are also allowing this, they should be taking the blame too.

I don't know why his company would let this all go down this way because large scale productions like this are stood up as businesses (usually LLCs) that are required to carry insurance, workman's comp, etc. So people getting hurt on set like this (especially due to negligence on the production's part) is the direct responsibility of the production, opening them up to all kinds of legal issues. One would think that at least out of the interest of self-preservation, Mr. Beast wouldn't allow this kind of environment to happen on set.
