American Football is pretty popular in Mx, their coaching is a bit unorthodox but it works.
When I was there they did play football games, well university teams not like here in the USA different cities.

People keep talking about California football teams. When De La Salle was no#1 in the nation they came to Texas and played a middle of the pack Trinity high school and was beat 26-21! Texas high school football is actually superior to California high school football.

Football is very popular in Northern Mexico, in U-16 competition is still close... but when you get in College, the rest of the world is blown out of the water.
Soccer is the world sport. That's why. All these Mexican kids play soccer as well soon they'll have to choose which way to go. There's no pro football league anywhere in the world exept in the US. The choice is clear.
IBTG they’ll make it in football but probably not in soccer because it’s the hardest sport to go professional in the U.S or world

I have an idea for a new football league. Indoor football on a 50 yard field- similar to the FCF with simulated fans . And the dasher boards can use the same technology as hockey does . Low cost and it would look great on TV . Allow Gambling and get a network deal . They could play on week days . To avoid competition with XFL and USFL .

They recruit these kids from different regions of the US. Some come from top level high schools like from the Woodlands in Texas. Mexico doesn’t send the national team, they send regional teams who get invited by the US Football organization.
I promise these are not even remotely close to top level in USA🤣🤣 there are high school kids that are 4 and 5 star recruits getting looked at by Bama, OSU , GA, ect. Lol
