@@thelydshow Hey You didn't said anything about my comment in which I mentioned about my editing services just wanted to remind you,. You might have missed out on that
@@tarunpalfilmmaker Thanks for the offer, I did notice your comment. Editing is my favorite part of video making so will continue to do it myself thanks
This is literally me. I deleted them month ago. Now I'm convincing others. Thank God I didn't suffer from fear of irrelevancy. Having inner peace and more time for hobbies and studying in real life is a priority, then scrolling. Congrats for being consistent for a year!
I have been off all social media, besides youtube, for 2 years. Best thing i’ve ever done for my mental health. Also I can always tell if someone is chronically online by how they talk irl or comment on yt vids. Being offline has made me so grounded in my morals, and opinions. I can always tell when someone is chronically online because they aren’t grounded in reality and don’t have any concept of their true morals and opinions outside of reading about other peoples.
Edgy cousin, you make a fair few points. I'm not on socials either, and I couldn't be concerned about being forgotten. I bumped into a childhood friend on a walk a few days ago. She was visiting, and lives 10,000kms away. No socials, haven't spoken in 2 years and we simply picked up and I walked (again) with her and dropped her in front of her father's house again. When you make an impact on someone, they'll come to you, and remember you. Thank you for the pep talk :-)
Love that! I had a similar thing where I randomly met up with a friend who I hadn’t seen in six years because we both happened to be at the same place at the same time. The world works in funny ways
Hey Lyd! 🌟 Just watched your vid about ditching Instagram for a year, and wow - mad respect for taking that digital detox. Your insights are so real! I totally resonate with the approach of being intentional with social media. For me, it's all about setting clear boundaries - maybe an hour max per day, and actually using that time to connect rather than mindlessly scrolling. Your experiment proves there's so much life beyond those little squares. Your point about reclaiming mental space and productivity? Chef's kiss 👌 It's like social media can be this low-key energy vampire if we're not careful. Love how you're prioritizing what actually matters - like creating killer TH-cam content! BTW, if you ever want an extra hand with editing to free up more time for filming, I'm totally down to help. Would love to see you crush those TH-cam goals without getting bogged down in endless edit sessions. Keep being awesome and breaking those digital addiction cycles! Can't wait to see what epic content comes next. 💯 Catch you on the flip side! 🚀
Love this! I personally hate instagram. I didn’t use it for 4 years until I opened my own practice and now use it for my business. Personally, I wish I didn’t have to have it at all. It does help with marketing and connecting with like minded people; but honestly I wish I didn’t have to use it all. The struggle. Thank you for your honesty and thoughts ❤
I've been off social media for well over a year as well and can't say I'd wanna go back... only unfortunate reason is I won't be discovering and seeing the creative people who uplift me. But being dependent on my phone for that is much worse!
After a few years off social media I recently made an account to see what was going on. Everything was and felt so boring. I immediately deleted my new account😂
I could watch paint dry in your vlogs .. as I’m mum of austic children , being Asperger’s girl aswell . It’s soo soothing watching your vlogs or anything really . P.s forgive me for wondering but I feel as though you possible are Asperger’s or somewhere on the beautiful spectrum . I hope I have not offended ❤️
If you have any advice about time management, please tell us. I struggle a lot with it, and most videos on TH-cam are too good to be true to be honest. Also, please talk to us about discipline and how to improve ourselves in that aspect.
Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s easier to delete social media when you have a significant other, job and a life you’re content with. Most girls have social media because it’s a way to meet new people instead of using dating apps.
As an INTJ It has become 3 years ago I deleted some social media apps like Instagram, Facebook..... I no longer post or stories or communicate through them and I found comfort in that and when people ask me where did you disappear to? Why don't you reply to messages? I simply tell them I deleted social media :) and if you want to communicate with me let's communicate in real life and I don't know if I will ever come back.
If you don't mind me asking, Did you permanently delete your social media or did you just deactivate it? I've been thinking of deleting social media but I'm not sure.
My sincerest apologies for the fuzzy audio.. I have no idea what happened. Anyways, hope you enjoyed the rant from your edgy cousin.
Hey Lyd. Happy to see you again, and u got me on the topic. Surely..

@@thelydshowthe fuzzy audio makes it feel very vintage 📸

Over a year since deleting social media? Time flies... Thanks for sharing, Lydia!
It’s wildddd

yeah I also realize I might be missing out on some cool things but its not worth all the downsides...

Yeah… I saw my friends account to see what it was like and it literally looked like garbage

I use it only for work, what are you doing on social media anyways ? like post comments or something ?
These "chats" are my favorite 😌☕ I also deleted my Instagram about 5 years ago and never looked back.
Wowww five years that’s huge:))

That’s true!! Also they seek validation from others since they don’t have that in there daily lives
I love it that no one will know me:) I've deleted instagram and its fun! :) Love it
One year later 👏
