I got mine yesterday and mine had a very very minor paint issue on the face. Personally love this slimmer, smaller, teen looking spiderman. The RYV Spidey is supposed to be him at a much older time, he has a kid in that comic so a taller spiderman makes sense cause hes a full adult.

I don't know how else Hasbro could have done the webwings, so it is what it is. I'm excited for this guy because I've been wanting a Spider-Man with webwings for a long time now. I hope they repaint this body to resemble the Romita Sr/Andru Spidey soon.
i think the spider-man in the pulse exculsive with ice man and fire star comes pretty close aside from the reused head.
The spider emblem is all wrong though. Plus, it doesn't have the webwings.

What does that have to do with the Amazing Friends Spider-Man spider emblem on the chest being wrong though?

I like Hasbro's body mold better but I would prefer the lines & spider logos sculpted
Then get a Tobey Maguire figure since his suit has the lines sticking out unlike in the comics
To me they should’ve used the RYV spidey body on the animated series one that’s coming out because that spidey was shown has a big Spider-Man but they used the amazing fantasy body for it…..
If I had more money to spend on figures, I would've got this one. I love Spidey, I just don't have the money or the space to buy them all lol

This may be an unpopular opinion, but If you have so many gripes about this figure, then why'd you buy it? No one forced you to. You're ruining it for everyone else and putting people off from having fun with their toys. I got into toy collecting and toy photography because I wanted a little bit of nostalgia. And here I thought this community was a positive one. Though I may have reservations about Hasbro and other big name companies, I still commend them for putting out these toys, for us... the fans. Just think of all the work and engineering they put into these figures. It's alright to critique something, but do it constructively. When you say, "I just think they're (webwings) absolutely stupid," you're being disrespectful of other people's work.
I agree almost every collector will make fun of a figure without understanding the engineering that went into it especially Lego collectors they all think Lego is for adults and not for children
You're right. That's what's sad about the toy-collecting community these days. I am not a die-hard fan of Hasbro by any stretch of the imagination. I disagree with some of their practices (ie. crowd-funding Haslab), but most people just complain, without understanding the money and work these companies put into making these figures. I do understand that as consumers we expect a certain level of quality with the products we spend our money on; but that's why there are choices out there. They make improvements. Take the Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures (there's more than one, take your pick!) No one is forcing us to buy them all.

I just got the new one with the blue back symbol, I'm excited af for it, seems on par with the ryv figure minus toe joints, but I'm sure I could buy a used or incomplete ryv figure and swap the feet
we're also getting the animated series Spiderman on this body, pretty pumped for that one

you should pop out the whole arm use hot water, because there is an extra plastic that hindered the butterfly joint
The best part of the 3.75" 60th anniversary Retro figure was that the spider on the back of the suit was blue. Surprised that they didn't cover that detail on this one. The underarm webs should have been fabric IMO on both figures.

I hate that Hasbro is focusing on their shareholders by the amount of money they are increasing marvel legends pricing. Just so dumb :( this is still a good looking figure

you do get web holding hands with mcu spider-man but its usually just that and twips like the nwh upgraded suit
Watch Hasbro re-release that same Amazing Fantasy mold with blue spider-logo on the back in 2 pack with Aunt-May. For sure they'll be milking that mold just like Wolverine body molds...😅🤣😂
If you like original things. I think the AF Spiderman might be your favorite. As opposed to the others which have the more blue suit that came later.

I actually perfect sculpted symbols and webs because the paint will rub off way more making the symbols and webs disappear over time you can always repaint it yourself but it's kinda tedious imo
Great review. But where's classic Bruce banner, conan figure, doc Samson, Luke cage,Nick fury The Hasbro team needs to make more civilian marvel characters such as dress down Tchalla figure, Steve Rodgers, a dress down Peter Parker from the spiderman amazing friends cartoon show etc.
I'd like more civilian looks for characters too. I could see Hasbro doing them in 2 packs with their costumed looks.

ToyBiz had the awful shoulders and hips. Plus, you mentioned the wonky body. I think just about every figure had an out of proportion wonky body, but for their time they were spitting out tons of figures and articulation, sculpts, and color weren't all that bad. I agree Hasbro has done a better job overall.

Spider mans 60th anniversary
Great review MCU. Being a huge Spidey fan from Ditko times, I am sorry to say this does not meet my requirements for an AF#15 Spidey. First off, the size is wrong for the buck. He is suppose to be in High School AND not toned for the Olympics. Obvious Shart hit the sore point. Those webbings are a lazy horrible ridiculous design for the price Hasbro is asking for this. If not used, it obviously dismisses the AF#15 1st appearance look but it also leaves a hole in the arms (first pins now holes?). For a child without a Spidey I suppose this will work, however for serious collectors (all 1% of us) IMHO there are some discrepancies that fail Hasbro's product that forces us to compromise if one is purchased. I would think for an event like Spidey's 60th, extra effort would have been applied by Hasbro to ensure it satisfies both the kids and collectors other then trying to pass along a bath toy as a collectable figure.
Again, if I am hungry and willing to pay a restaurant for a BBQ steak, why would I order a Happy Meal? Hasbro has to stop charging for me for a steak!
Got 2 of these guys from Pulse through pre order and both had paint defects on the right side rib cage missing the dark gray/black like a pock mark and one had a scuff on the head! Sent both back after 2 different calls with 2 different hasbro departments along with my Iron Spider which has horrible touch up gold paint on his left shoulder. The person I spoke with didnt have any in their warehouse to replace mine with so I have to wait on a check for a refund and then reorder them. Hasbro sucks and so do their return protocols!!!!

I still think it would be awesome if Hasbro Re-issued the original Toybiz ML Spiderman, the Mcfarlane and the First Appearance.
Honestly that mold is still regarded so highly, I'd be cool with a whole series of repaints of that original body.

Nah 2 pack one is worse. Proportions are a bit wack and having to get another figure for no reason is also a miss for me. Amazing fantasy has a much more accurate build imo. Why do you want to get the 2 pack instead?
