I'ver read criticisms that the original K5 has a bit of sticky start to panning. In other words, that you can't really easy into the pan. Have you noticed a difference with the S version?

It was understood that the pan gives a bit of resistance unlike the manfrotto 502; would you agree to that the K5 has some resistance ?

Yes the S is a lot smoother with the wider base now 👍🏾🤓
