    when the pedal is locked can you still pan 360 with just a camera on or does it have to be unlocked for all movement

      With no fluid head or ballhead on top, you'll have to press the pedal. I recommend having a ballhead or fluid head

    Great review, is the Top quick release somehow prone to accidents or it is "hard" enough to avoid unwanted releases

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't had any unwanted releases. It seems sturdy from my uses and those I've heard use it.

    Can I use it as an invisible stick with my insta 360 RS 1 inch edition camera?

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. I haven't tried that. If it works with other monopods, I don't see why it wouldn't.

    So there is no way to tighten the tension on the pedal version to work hands free on uneven ground?

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There actually is a tension adjustment mechanism on the pedal, but it doesn't hold as much as the twist lock base. It's more of a dampening adjustment, but won't really hold the weight of a camera and lens still at an angle. I guess it depends on your setup. But I still recommend one od the monopods with the twist lock base over the pedal base.

      @@AndrewVanBeekOttawa I recommend the carbon fiber with the regular base. It's been my go-to for a lot of events and shoots.

    Hey Hyphenate, I notice you are using ifootage seastars on one of the Cobras in the video. I've been using seastars for many of my tripods/slider/heads, and I just picked up a cobra recently. Would you recommend installing a seastar base on top of the cobra's quick release? Does it get in the way at all? I'd hate to have to remove the Seastar from my fluid heads just to use it on the monopod, but it seems excessive. Thanks. I appreciate ya.

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely love the seastars and use them on almost all my gear that I put fluid heads or ball heads on. I have seastars on my monopods, tripods, and motion control system. It doesn't get in the way at all. Makes it so much better to transfer my fluid head from monopod to tripod when I'm on the move and need to change quickly from mobile to stationary. 🙏

      @@DoubtMeTech hey man. Appreciate the input. I think I’ll get a second cobra quick release plate, and keep one without, and one with a seastar base. Thanks for the reply.

    nice video and this look really good. I wonder for filmmaking if the pedal base might be better to get moving shots? I guess you could just loosen the base when want to do some type of a tracking shot etc.

    Thank you for the great video! If you were doing primarily sporting events both stills and video, which base do you feel is best?

    • @DoubtMeTech
      @DoubtMeTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sporting events where you're constantly moving and you're not really using it as a tripod, I would recommend the pedal base.
      The ball head style base works well with all shooting, you just have to loosen the lock and have to reach down if you want to lock it.

    • @Tonellacam
      @Tonellacam ปีที่แล้ว

      Same ! I think you could make either work , I like the idea of being able to step on the thing to make it lock , but uneven ground could be a problem
      With that one
