a lot more happens outside but you gotta do the side missions for those. the ones you would find the most fun imo would be Tea Party (very cool level design), Shot in the Dark (has a boss fight), Identity Theft (interesting story), and Watcher in the Wings (continues the plot of the dude that appeared on that rooftop across from you in part 1)
also if youre playing the return to arkham edition you should have the extra mission where you play as harley quinn, which can be found on the start up screen.

An argument i havent seen made about why theres so many puzzle parts is because thats kinda what batman was originally intended to be. Dark Knight, while an amazing series, isnt a good representation of what batman content is. Hes a Detective, The original Batman comics werent even named after him their called "Detective Comics", and the Arkham series was trying to show the more comic accurate version of batman. The player having to figure out where to go and constantly use gadgets to find a way to win is exactly what batman does and acts.

Origins is definitely worth checking out. Most bosses go hard and it's the 2nd best story imo. Only problem is a lot of it felt like "Arkham City 2" instead of an entirely new game like Knight. Some might like Origins for that reason though

After all, the mental is a whole aspect of Batman. Batman is not just about his muscle but about his mind too. So I think it makes sense that there is so much detective work and puzzles in these games. Because it’s a Batman game. Without it, you would be missing the whole other half of Batman.
Hey Dontai i’ve noticed that you tend to just hit triangle when you attempt a parry, its not your fault the game didn’t tell you this. But you actually have to aim your movement and camera stick towards the enemy you want to parry to get a sucessful parry everytime;and if you actually see this your awesome man you could find a way to make online fucking uno entertaining looking forward to seeing you play the next installment.

I do think your experience was sacrificed in a certain way due to streaming, because the game doesn't teach you anything on it's own and will just occasionally show you a text once on how to do a move that can actually be a game changer. Like I saw you struggling in that area with the soldiers, because one guy had the shield, one guy had the gun, one had the electric baton and whatnot but there are certain moves which make that entire fight MUCH easier that I guess you just missed out on. For instance there's a move Batman can do when he builds up his meter which allows him to break any weapon of his enemies, shields, knifes, bats, even guns, permanently, so that no one can pick them up. There's a move where every single guard who's on the floor, while recovering, Batman can instantly KO them with batarangs simultaneously etc.
Basically, Batman being disappointed makes sense, Batman deep down relates to the joker, he knows that he could've gone down the same route had things been different, just 1 bad day is all it could've taken, 2 sides of the same coin, the yin and yang. At the end of a Batman animated movie, I remember Joker and Batman or standing in the rain, joker tells a joke and Batman actually cracks a smile then starts laughing with him. To Batman, Joker is someone he's always wanted to save. In a way, it's like Naruto and Sasuke
What made this game special for so many people was the story. The story was so well arculated and thought of that for so many people this is consdired to be one of the greatest games of all time. Sure it may seem a bit outdated and the gameplay might not hold up well today, but you can't forget this game came out in 2011 and at the time it was considered ahead of its time. Thank you Dontai this was very entertaining to watch, I always wondered what your take would be on the Arkham games and glad to be seeing you playing them. ❤

This play through was one of the more frustrating I’ve seen. From the seemingly unwillingness to take the time to understand the mechanics, jumping headfirst into predator missions, and expecting the combat to just be a button mash. There’s strategy to both combat and predator, and the most infuriating part was the game had to remind you how to deal with armored goons, and it still took you a while to figure it out. Sometimes I wish they didn’t put armor upgrades in the game so it would cause players to become more skilled, instead of just relying on a large health pool. If you don’t like puzzles in games that’s fine, just don’t complain about it, especially when the puzzles aren’t really that bad. 37:16 this comment kinda rubbed me the wrong way, like dude if you’re having a hard time finding the next mission you either didn’t pay attention to what the characters said, or you didn’t use detective vision, and as far as going to the waypoint and not knowing exactly where to go, yes that kinda the point, they don’t want to just give you the answer, they want you to figure it out, maybe even use some deductive reasoning, you know, like a detective. Not every game needs to act like a checklist. And I’m starting to miss games like these, because they didn’t treat you like you had the mental and learning capabilities of a 3 year old. And the amount of hand holding for the puzzles in GOW Ragnarok was so obnoxiously egregious, because some players couldn’t figure out basic shit. TLDR Serious DSP vibes. Has dontai played all games, but arkham origins? Because if so that's tragic, it's one of the coolest ones in the arkham franchise & is the only on that showcases Jokers crazy antics in full effect on screen the best.
Honestly just so happy to see Dontai playing this because these are some of my favorite games of all time. Also most of these games have an upgrade that allows you to disarm weapons by pressing square + triangle so keep a look out for that when you play origins and knight :)

For instance there's a move Batman can do when he builds up his meter which allows him to break any weapon of his enemies, shields, knifes, bats, even guns, permanently, so that no one can pick them up. There's a move where every single guard who's on the floor, while recovering, Batman can instantly KO them with batarangs simultaneously etc.
Basically, Batman being disappointed makes sense, Batman deep down relates to the joker, he knows that he could've gone down the same route had things been different, just 1 bad day is all it could've taken, 2 sides of the same coin, the yin and yang. At the end of a Batman animated movie, I remember Joker and Batman or standing in the rain, joker tells a joke and Batman actually cracks a smile then starts laughing with him. To Batman, Joker is someone he's always wanted to save. In a way, it's like Naruto and Sasuke
What made this game special for so many people was the story. The story was so well arculated and thought of that for so many people this is consdired to be one of the greatest games of all time. Sure it may seem a bit outdated and the gameplay might not hold up well today, but you can't forget this game came out in 2011 and at the time it was considered ahead of its time.

This play through was one of the more frustrating I’ve seen. From the seemingly unwillingness to take the time to understand the mechanics, jumping headfirst into predator missions, and expecting the combat to just be a button mash. There’s strategy to both combat and predator, and the most infuriating part was the game had to remind you how to deal with armored goons, and it still took you a while to figure it out. Sometimes I wish they didn’t put armor upgrades in the game so it would cause players to become more skilled, instead of just relying on a large health pool.
If you don’t like puzzles in games that’s fine, just don’t complain about it, especially when the puzzles aren’t really that bad.
37:16 this comment kinda rubbed me the wrong way, like dude if you’re having a hard time finding the next mission you either didn’t pay attention to what the characters said, or you didn’t use detective vision, and as far as going to the waypoint and not knowing exactly where to go, yes that kinda the point, they don’t want to just give you the answer, they want you to figure it out, maybe even use some deductive reasoning, you know, like a detective. Not every game needs to act like a checklist.
And I’m starting to miss games like these, because they didn’t treat you like you had the mental and learning capabilities of a 3 year old.
And the amount of hand holding for the puzzles in GOW Ragnarok was so obnoxiously egregious, because some players couldn’t figure out basic shit.

Because if so that's tragic, it's one of the coolest ones in the arkham franchise & is the only on that showcases Jokers crazy antics in full effect on screen the best.
Honestly just so happy to see Dontai playing this because these are some of my favorite games of all time. Also most of these games have an upgrade that allows you to disarm weapons by pressing square + triangle so keep a look out for that when you play origins and knight :)
He just needs to get better tho. He hasn't even mastered basic traversal.
