- He wowed the judges and captured the hearts of America. Local boy Iam Tongi won American Idol last night and there was a big celebration in his hometown of Kahuku.
Jordan Segundo the first American Idol contestant from Hawaii and a season two semi-finalist, joined Wake Up 2Day to discuss Tongi's big win.

Iam is a story teller, not just your typical beautiful singer (vocal and instrumentally skilled) but he feels what he sings and he puts his soul into each and ever song.
Jordan is one in million - the talent, heart, and dedication to the Islands will never be matched.
That is what I'm talking about, he connected n captivated all listeners whether you're old or young, he is it he is the music n a story teller.
