I've been listening to this playlist playing Mechwarrior Online. So good, oh man. But I love the beat to this song, it just feels great alongside the lumbering of the heavy machines.
The DASHI; The Great Death, Death Bringer, Bringer of Death. It has many names, but one form. It crumples Atlases before it. Crushes the weak and worthless. It is the Great Clan Wolf's Dire Wolf. One of the two Great scourges of the clans. The larger big brother of the Timberwolf but far more ferocious.
Well with the load out it could carry, its name is well placed! with EIGHT laser hardpoints, two ballistic hardpoints and a single missile hardpoint as its STANDARD configuration it can lay waste to enemy Mechs from all ranges! And lets not forget the TEN alt. configs that it can be outfitted with make the Daishi Mech a very versatile assault Mech and im pretty sure that it's one of the few Mechs that have that many alt. configs, most have what 2-5?
it is a omni mech so calling configs is ridicoulus cause each Pilot can do ist own config and it has noch laser ballistic or missel hard Points each spot can fit each weapon but mostly they put Missiles on the same spot, and yeah it was darconis warrior if i rember right the yakuzza ones or?
That ending @ 4:48 is beast. Like something you'd hear after the chaos & dust settles to death & ash and you realize you're the only survivor. I only wish it was longer and louder so I could it hear it better :D

I can literally keep firing to the point I run out of ammo, no over heating at all. As for the LRM dire.... well it's funny when an enemy see's LRM's fly over a hill and comes in for a easy kill just to be smacked by large lasers and lbx 20, or they run away from LBX 20 and get striked down by LRM's as they run. If you can, try out a Widowmaker. 2x ERPPC, 2x Large Pulse Laser, 3x ER Medium Laser, 1x ER Small Laser, and an Ultra AC/20. On the Tabletop, at least, that thing is one terrifying brawling machine. Shoot more guns as you close in or heat allows, and if you manage to get in range for the Ultra you can prettymuch tear their face off.
Sporkman! I am actually doing that before you posted this. It's just I did some minor tweaking. Some inspiration from stock DWF-A and Hohiro and Prometheus. I got... 2 Cl Large Pulse Laser 2 Cl ER PPC 1 Cl ER Medium Laser 2 Cl SRM 6 1 Cl UAC 20 I've killed so many enemy mechs with an alpha strike with this thing it's not funny.
R4V3-0N That... is one hell of a facewrecking machine, even on the Battletech Tabletop. The biggest problem is you'll *MASSIVELY* overheat if you fire everything - it generates 79 heat on a running alpha, and I was only able to cram in 22 double heatsinks for a total of 44 heat dissipation. Personally, I might yank the Medium Laser and swap the two SRM-6s for a single SSRM-6 to bring heat levels down, filling as much free tonnage as possible with heatsinks; from what I remember of my short time playing MW:O, you can never have enough heat dissipation.
I'm totally not trying to be rude - but likely because it's neither as iconic or as nostalgic as these MW2 tracks are. I mean, a lot of us were teens when we first started on this - and he seems to be around that same age range. MWO's music is, truthfully, not as memorable. It's an age thing, perhaps. But I really feel like MW2's music was just a -solid- soundtrack. MWO's trailer tracks are better than the in-game music.
My go to Assault mech. i'll never forget the time in mechwarrior online where my Direwolf alpha striked an atlas so hard that it retreated without returning fire. spoiler warning: it's didn't get far.
this song is ALOT less menacing after slaying one with a Locust, circling it with 154 KP/H blasting its legs with Lasers makes this thing look pretty weak, but then again the Locust is one nasty bugger to fight alone, still a beautifull Machine of war!
AkaronIakaILeyis thats kinda what scouts do. But you know how many direct hits from an assault class can a locust take? i personally would not want to test that.
This is what people say when PGI finishes their.... "balancing" of mechs and weaponry. let's be honest we all know the truth that with the right pilot and a decent loadout (and none of PGI's.... questionable nerfing tactics), the Dire Wolf would be terrifying to any light, medium, heavy, or assault that came its way.

Downloaded the full album but this track does not seem to be included. Also, the other songs are quite different as well.
