Watching this as I'm typing this in, good stuff! Yeah the lower models usually have heartbeat instead of a certain sound, because that was intended to help a baby sleep (though yours doesn't really sound that great with the heartbeat sound...)
From what it looks like you've got one of the newer models. I'm surprised the pitches here actually seem more consistent... though HoMedics put more focus on making these better than their clock machines, which had dubious build quality. As for the loops it was easy to find those in Audacity when I did the audio captures, and also you can definitely hear them even when using the machine... the SS-200 was made when digital sound machines were a new thing, but for 1997 standards it's aged quite well. They made those SS-200 machines up until 2008!
I used to have a couple of SS-400 based machines, both of them started having issues... mainly the reason why I have the interest of capturing sounds from these machines before they eventually die. As far as I'm aware the SS-200 is probably the most reliable SoundSpa EVER. SS-2000s have potentiometer issues, aforementioned clocks are not well made, and their newer stuff isn't exactly great going off of numerous amazon reviews. I know that SS-400B I had was awful... the pitch was WAY off and simply unbearable. Now that I'm thinking of these machines again I'll try tracking down an earlier SS-400B solely for the unique "Wind" loop which isn't present on the original SS-400.
Seems your particular machine is going strong. Thanks for sharing this with me!

You’re welcome I had an old one but couldn’t find it so I got this not to long ago the low pitch was actually bearable it’s just a pitched down version but I think they make those with a pitch changing feature cuz there’s a video of it

@@almaburmydylan1713 The pitch is controlled internally from the factory and can vary across production runs. Are you mentioning a circuit-bent SS-200 video? That one was heavily modified, but sadly not well documented.

@@almaburmydylan1713 Yea, that one was the circuit-bent one. Definitely not like that from the factory.
