I enjoyed your review. I very much wanted to hear the train sound and waited for that, but you talked while it was on so I did not get much of an idea of how it sounds. Does this machine last very long? Thank you for reviewing this.
Yeah, not to pick on this reviewer, but there's far too much talking in almost all these white noise machine reviews. I'm pretty sure most viewers just want to listen to the machine in its full range of settings.
Thank you for your reply. I did buy one of these and I love it too. Initially I bought it for the train and use it sometimes and I like it. My favorite is the rain for sleeping, the second rain choice. If outside tv's, talking, etc., during the day are excessive, I put the large fan on which blocks out the noise. Love the other sounds as well, but these are the ones for me that I find useful. There are so many choices so I expect I will find other favorites as well.

Does it have a USB port for the electrical connection, or just a standard plug?

The machine is still doing the job to this day! its fantastic. I use it every night. really helps my wife and I sleep.

Read the owner's manual. The first Waterfall sound is Fan.
does the train sound have distracting whistles and such?
you can change the "depth" of the sound. the train normally is just tracks and white noise.

When I mentioned the large fan, I meant the large fan choice on the machine, not an actual fan.
