Notes
To make dishcloth, larger increase the starting chain by a multiple of two to make the dish cloth smaller decrease the starting chain, making sure to also keep it a multiple of two.
An increase or decrease of two stitches will equal approximately 3/4 of an inch larger or smaller.
Striping
Striping is achieved by working two rows of the main colour followed by 1 row of the contrast colour.

Cyprianne - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Why yes Cyprianne, I actually have been looking for a vintage dishcloth pattern! 😁 These are beautiful, I’m so excited to make them, thank you!
So happy you like it! I'm making more today for Easter can't stop making them LOL. Enjoy and have fun!
I love the colors! I'm afraid I would not use it as a dishcloth, just admire it♥Thanks for sharing, though.
Me too Susie! I have a whole stack of matching wash cloths tied up in a pretty bow that I just look at instead of use!
Ty for patter, easy to follow
So pretty!❤
Thank you! 😊
tried your pattern and love it, thanks for sharing
So so adorable! Thank you for sharing! ❤
You are so welcome!
i love this. these are so pretty. and fairly easy!
So sorry for the long response time. I'm so happy that they are easy for you. It is a pretty easy stitch and I love how the edging naturally scallops. Hopefully you had lots of fun making them. Thanks again for being here.
This is the best beginner video every. Thank you for showing SO clearly where the stitches go when starting a new row, and turning. Great job!
Thank you so much! Feedback on other videos has really helped me to know what beginners need. If there is anything else you think i could improve upon i really appreciate that feedback too! This is my favourite cloth to make right now :). Happy almost weekend!
I absolutely agree. As someone knew to crochet I’ve watched many videos and hers are the best!
Such a beautiful stitch ❤. Thank you for your tutorial 🦋🐞🐝
Thanks so much. So happy you like it.
Beautiful
Thank you
I love this pattern ! I’ve been looking for a good washcloth pattern and I found it ! Thanks for sharing!
So sorry for the long response time. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the washcloth pattern. This is one of my favorites, so delicate and pretty hope you have been enjoying the summer! And thanks again for being here.
Wow!!!! This is exactly the pattern I was looking for to make as gifts to go with homemade body scrub, and shower steamers for Christmas. This is beautiful, and soooo easy to do. At least I'll be prepared for next year. 😂
Edit....also new subscriber right here! ❤
So happy to hear! And welcome! I have another super cute dishcloth coming very soon :)
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
When working in the back bump do you start at the second stich from the hook, thank you
Yes that is correct ✅😊
I love these. ... they're so pretty. I'm a Vintage kind of woman. I used one yesterday though and it's still wet. Doesn't seem to want to dry. I used Peaches & Creme 4 ply 100% cotton. Any suggestions? I haven't laundered them yet.
So sorry for the long response time it's true the cotton really does absorb the water and stays wet. I hang mine over my top so that the air will flow through. I think that's really all you can do. I do find if I told them on my countertop they do take a lot longer to dry. Hopefully this helps and thank you so much for being here.
I would like to try and make a baby blanket using this stitch would you know how many chains i would need? You know like even or odd number
I'm not sure of the stitch count but you need to keep it even.
When you do the stripe pattern, do you carry the yarn or cut and join with each color? This is my favorite dishcloth pattern, by the way! 😊 🧶
Just drop the yarn - I purposely did the striping every two rows so you didn't need to cut :). If you do every row you will need to cut and rejoin - hope this helps!
Do you have or know of similar patterns to this? I LOVE making dishcloths with patterns that don't look like a "pattern" (e.g. a straight line of double crochet, you can clearly see a pattern)
I have more here - check out the Brighton dishcloth - i also have a new one coming in the next few weeks :)
@@prettydarnadorable thank you sooo much!!!
Did you block the dishcloth to give it a finished look? Mine is very stretchy!
No and mine too! I love how stretchy it is doesn't feel stiff. :)
Is cedar ridge the name of the stitch pattern? If not, please inform. Thank you!
No it is the name of the pattern - I have been using this stitch for so long - i have no idea of the name. I think some have referred to it as the primrose?
Thanks! Familiar with the primrose stitch. Love the intensity in texture. Maybe it’s the hook size.
This is the spider stitch
I did not know that :)
Is there a name to this stitch?
I'm not sure it is the second row of the primrose stitch.
Ok tutorial. Nice pattern. Would be even better if you weren’t sniffing and snorting through the whole thing.
Can't argue that one!
There was no need to criticise about sniffing and snorting. Some people always have to find fault. She may have had a cold, which did not detract from a lovely tutorial.
@@janmackinven5736 and you could have just scrolled on….
