She's just stunning! Such a smart and musical singer. I follow her on social media. She is such a positive, optimistic person who clearly brings joy to everyone around her! I sincerely hope to hear her live one day!
She is one of the most spectacular lyric sopranos today I would even go as far as to say in my own opinion the successor to Renee Fleming. This is an absolutely heart pounding beauty of an aria, the emotion she puts into her singing and that high note was shattering! I am so moved by it. Thank you Miss Oropesa for making opera opera again!!!
Renee scooped... she never had as clean bel canto technique as Oropesa... on the other hand, Oropesa does not have the OUT OF THIS WORLD beauty of timbre and Luxurious Illustrious Polished Vocal Line that Renee was phenomenal at
Agree that Lisette’s bel canto technique is better. But if we are going to compare, the richness of Flemings vocal line, Te Kanawa was way way superior.
Beautiful! It's thanks to you that I discovered her, and I've had the good fortune of seeing her on stage as well. I'm a fan! And she's so incredibly generous with her time and knowledge, too...
This has become my favourite aria over the last couple of years, perhaps in part because of Oropesa, of whom I’m a big fan. When she shines, she does it bright, and Meyerbeer is a great example of that. Surprisingly, there’s another completely different voice which also floors me when I listen to her rendition of this aria. It’s that of Gertrude Grob-Prandl. Hard to think there even is a single piece of repertoire where both these magnificent yet diametrically opposed singers have shown how great they are, but here it is.
...heard it here: th-cam.com/video/VYwt0-pmnaA/w-d-xo.html , well extremely secure top but Wagnerian approach, sudden cut of notes and lines not the melodic italian bel canto line... a Brunhilde singing Bel Canto... same feeling you get when Birgit sings bel canto
...as if she needed my approval... she managed to master the entire arsenal of bel canto technique (trills, diminuendi upon high notes, groupetti, coloratura, portamenti etc) which is so rare in our days, the Old Schooling is literally dying not because there are no voices with Agility and Elasticity ..
What opera is this aria from? Sounds like bel canto, I'm not a big fan of, that's why. I apologize. A commentator said it's Meyerbeer, so I searched & found Isabelle role is in Robert le diable.

This sounds like the concert performance of Robert Le Diable from Brussels, some years ago. I was there, many of those bravoes were mine. Sublime.
Lisette is such a Diva, in all the best ways.
Thanks for posting Lohengrin, this one goes straight to the playlist!
Impressive range. Elegantly volatile and very clean voice through all registers!

I love her voice very much and she is very intelligent too👏👏👏❤️
I hadn’t heard her voice in a long time and, oh my God, how beautifully it has matured! Thank you for sharing!!
well this is one of her earlier recordings, I think about 5 years ago
@@LohengrinO oh wow really ? Maybe the take makes the sound more reverberant

Grob - Prandl has sung this aria? !!! woooooooooooooooow, what kind of soprano Isabelle is, dramatic coloratura? why Grob - Prandl sang this aria

Here she is well into super stardom territory.
Brava.
Makes me so happy you approve of Musette Oropesa!

Brava!!!!
Lovely. Last who could sing it like this was Sills.
I love Sills singing this!!! Such drama and mood changes in the voice!
Eh sì qui ho pianto…grazie ❤ 0:07
There are not enough superlatives for her!
Not as edgy. But she's kewl.

I must ask Lohengrin0, was your mother Athena? Your intelligence seems high for a mortal.

@@danielreiss-cy4zrnope. It's Daniel Reiss by TH-cam comment 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
It's a lovely voice, but I do worry about those very audible intakes of breath.
