- Welcome back guys, I know a few of you had questions about the rail and how I modified to to work with surefire suppressors with the warcomp being so close to the rail. Hope it helps! Lemme if you have any more questions!
Any baffle strikes? Eventually that crush washer is going to compress more and potentially become unaligned
The mod makes it functional and also looks a lot more streamlined. I dig it!
So that’s a bcm 13 inch handguard with a 13.7 barrel ?
Have you had any issue with baffle strikes? Please respond. I got my 14.5 pin and welded but the gun smith used a washer. I’m contemplating re doing it
I have yet to shoot with a suppressor but I am also considering redoing it just so it is right and no issues. If it pass the rod test, you should be good but check it every so often just to be sure would be my advice
Great idea! Looks clean. I have a 13.7 rosco barrel coming today and wanted to run this rail. I’ll be using a SOLGW Knox flash hider to run a dead air can on it but if it doesn’t clear I know what I can do now.

That warcomp is a bad choice for a suppressor they leak alot just fyi...
I haven't heard that, I thought they were actually pretty sealed up but I will look into that,thank you!
So the 13" MCMR will most likely work with a 13.9" barrel and Warcomp...?
I think you would have no issues if you are asking about it working with a suppressor. No suppressor, It will work 100%

@@calsol22I’ve got a 13.9 criterion core with a SOLGW nox and I believe I’ll have to trim the sides of the rail to fit a suppressor on it
Exact video I was looking for. I'm running a 10.5 300 and want a flush can mount but this rail says 10" but spec is 10.5 so I'll do the same an cut it back

What type of dremmel tip did you use. I have the same setup and do want to run the suppressor. Also was it difficult to do the modification?
Just used the disc bit and taped off the end of the rail where I wanted to cut and followed the tape to make a nice clean cut. Very easy. Took all of 10mins
So glad I found this. I picked up at BA 13.9” and it actually measures 14.1” I wasn’t sure if I could fit my QD warden with my 13” BCM handguard.
Did you get it attached and worked out?
@@calsol22 I ended up having the square off the front of the rail. Yea it’s done and operating well.
I was looking at the Fde 13in mcmr… is the same as this particular rail? I’m wanting to put a 13.7 barrel on mine but I want my rail to match the rest of my gun which I know if I paint it, it won’t matter but either way
It should be the same rail Bc mine is the bcm mcmr 13” rail just a different color

So if I was putting the MCMR13 on a 13.7 build that I'm planning, but have no intention of installing a suppressor or blast do diverter like the SF Warden then I should be fine without modifications.
Yeah you’ll be fine if u aren’t mounting anything more than like a comp or flash hider
It was either spend another 200$ on top of my shorter barrel or dremel. I already own a dremel :)
What washer did you use to get to 16"? I couldn't hear correctly but it sounded like "jet crush washer"? I've also heard that you shouldn't use a crush washer because it can be uneven and cause baffle strikes, did you get any issues?
"just a crushed washer" Normal crush washer that you use for like a bird cage flashhider. I haven't mounted a suppressor yet so idk if it will cause issues for me. It varies from rifle to rifle
Perfect vid, need to do this as well. What did you use to touch up the aluminum cut back to black again? Paint marker maybe?

Alumi black works well or just rattle can the rifle

Did you remove the handguard to chop it, or left it installed?
Nope, just left it on the gun and chopped off the access.
Thanks for the video. Was trying to find a rail that close for my 13.7 build with a warcomp. Don’t mind a little trim job as I am painting the rifle anyways. Does the rail feel a bit “square” in the hands.
Glad to help man! To me it doesn’t rlly feel blocky. Has nice ergos but I kinda c clap my pressure pad and use the very grip like a hand stop but I wouldn’t say blocky
@@themosindude7925 Thanks. I still love quad rails haha and use to and prefer a bit square feel but trying to be a bit lighter, But this looks about right.
@@zachgregory1289 I mean if you look it’s more blocky then round but it’s no quad rail😂 it is light tho and pretty durable. It’s Bcm as you know
Nice setups. How do you like the olight? Alot of guru's give em a hard time cause they use modlites and surefires etc.🤷🏿♂️🤣
honestly it has been fine for me but I haven't abused it. they like to hate on it because it is a cheap option and they are too "good" for them

Did you use crush washer or the spacer the warcomp came with?
Crush washer plus a few shims that came with the MD
What size rail did you say it was to begin with again?
It's the MCMR 13 rail, which is 13.0" on the top and bottom but 13.4" on the sides.
@@carpenj1988 gotcha. I ended up ordering a 12 so I hope it’s not too unsightly but I’m sure it’ll be fine
Did you have to reanodize the cut area of the rail?
I just taped up the muzzle device and sprayed a couple shots of black spray paint

@@jeremiahd6368 you should be fine with surefire MD/cans if that’s what you are concerned with. Mine only needa a few millimeters removed to make it work. I would think 13.9” with certain MDs would be fine with suppressors

The suppressor mounts with a crush washer on the muzzle device?
You should never use a crush washer on a suppressor host, eventually it will loosen and there will be a baffle strike
