Probably disappointed because of 3rd versus 1st. Then again it costs a ton of money to do those types of events so selling products helps them support their racing problem.

i have some plans for a gas engine and i might just end up buying 2 of the high filtration ones for those plans. i agree sucked in/waded up filters look bad and cant believe nobody has addressed that issue.
Pro tip: Fit a huge one and then run the version with great protection. I used to be involved in the TT Viper scene and we'd put enormous filters on and see no power loss on even 1600+ rwhp.
I'm sure they're great products! I was hoping you would make one similar to the big honking air filter but with a better design for attaching to a stock inlet tube like with an aluminum or stainless steel composite flange that would make a easy and secure fit ....97 12 valve

We need to know the CFM Air flow. I have the 12" with the 4" outlet Dust Bowl on my truck now and it seems ok but it would be good to know the status. I don't like to guess.

My buddy just had both his turbos destroyed when they ingested the plastic glued piece inside the filter. I'm removing my PDD Performer asap because of this. He's out $3k and I'm disappointed you guys didn't own up to this faulty design. I am also running your PDD Compund Towing turbo kit in my '02 Dodge and I would be beside myself if this happened to my truck...🤬 You guys should pull these filters off the market until they are redesigned!

Do you sell these in bigger outlet sizes? I only see 5” and 5.5” on the website. I have an AFE magnum force intake and I need a 8” outlet

How do they compare to the popular BHAF upgrade on the 1st gens? Just curious as I have one with a prefilter. I want to have some fun in the desert and get the best protection.

I too am running a BHAF w/ pre-filter on a 2nd Gen 24v. I have to replace it twice a year due to clogging (I'm in So Utah, and travel a lot if dirt roads, it's my work truck).
Anyway if this can filter the fine silt and be cleaned repeatedly, I'm sold! Where do I order?
That filter is more my speed and budget for upgrades on the 4th gen lmao! If it's Connor's butt proof, it should withstand my 4 kids and the dusty central oregon climate haha

Several of us with M35A2 trucks have found the PDD Dust Bowl filters to be inferior to the stock 410 cfm filter. Maybe the PDD works well short-term, and, yeah, they're pretty, and physically durable, but we've found them to load up with particulate (indicated by in-cab filter vacuum indicators), raise EGT's and smoke levels, and reduce boost and power far quicker than stock filters do. Can't say the stock filters aren't filtering well enough either, I've never had an oil analysis come back with a particulate problem with a stock filter. Interesting that at the time of this writing PDD also fails to list CFM ratings for any of their filters... steelsoldiers.com/threads/power-driven-diesel-air-filter-restrictive.190327/
Size is everything yes if you buy a tiny filter it will flow like a tiny filter

Bigger is better, but cold air fed is more better me thinks.
@@pddofficial Apologies, I meant cold air fed AND bigger is "more better". My bad. Not suggesting your filters aren't a good investment, just that so many people replace a standard airbox with a K&N style filter in the engine bay and convince themselves they've improved things.
@@juancornetto8243 my huge BHAF sucking in air from under the hood "is" much much better than the crappie stock airbox, especially when the outside ambient air temp is 105+ in the summer.
Granted this is not a race truck, it's a work truck but it has to pull a heavy load up a lot of elevation often.
@@Marine450x If it's 105 ambient it's even hotter under the "hood". In a like for like comparison outside air fed is always going to be better.
For the idiots that don’t know, there’s a big difference between water PROOF and water REPELLENT. I’ll forgive you for saying water proof at the end lol. Is a sticker included with each filter?
Technically, if you're going to be pedantic about it.. There's a difference between water proof, water repellent AND water tight. A collander is waterproof.

@@pddofficial dang ok :/ hey! You should get in contact with the cleetus McFarland youtube channel. He just bought a galaxy 500 1975ish 5.9 cummins swapped car. He doesnt know anything about diesels and is looking to up grade performance wise. He has got a sh*t ton of subs which would be good advertising for you. Maybe you two could work something out. Both of your channels are my favorite by far and would be sweet to see you both in contact. I know for a fact im not the only one that thinks this. Hope to see you guys working together in the future thanks!!!!
