Tracy - yes, we install SIPs over ICF foundations all the time. I suppose you could attach the tongue and groove to the panels before attaching them to the roof but it probably wouldn't be cost effective and would complicate the install. Easiest is to install the T&G to the timbers before dropping the roof panels on. It's also not very difficult to do the T&G after the panels are installed -- we leave space for them to slide between the timbers and the underside of the panel.
Could SIPs be used over an ICF basement? Also, could you attach the ceiling tongue and groove to the SIPs before assembling the roof?
