The hardest thing in Nairobi is not finding luxury apartments; it's finding realtors! Oohh and have you tried Lavington and Riverside btw? Anyways with that budget you should have a balcony, amazing lighting and views and a tub too. Also say no to suicide showers at all costs!!
Nice video. I wouldn't pick Kilimani or Kileleshwa for you either. They give a bit more of a family vibe. Try Westlands, Parklands or Riverside areas to be near all your favourite hangouts.

I love seeing your apartments! As a Kenyan looking to buy/rent an apartment the next time I am home, your videos are so insightful to me! I think that Westlands, Riverside, or Lavington as people suggested are great areas to live in. For luxury apartments of the caliber you showed, I think some of them could have been staged nicer as well as had some amenities up to par with 2022 standards. I think the last one you showed and the one with the pool were great options that were in alignment with the price but I do also think you could find slightly nicer buildings that have more for that price too. Excited to see the new apartment tour!

Try to checkout Riverbank apartments and see what they offer for luxury apartments. Its located near Two rivers mall premises
2 Rivers is abit far from popular hangout joints and clubs, since he likes to go out clubbing.
The pricing is not matching the apartments shown…very expensive to me, as I’m comparing what you’d get in SA for that level of quality of place(it’d be third or half the price). They are mostly middle income level furnishings and finishings but they are charging real luxury rental rates…Nairobi must just be more expensive than Joburg , Durban or even Cape Town😮
I agree. The rent is way too high. It should be between 50 - 75% of the quoted rent.
As a Kenyan, rental properties in Nairobi are very exaggerated but it's mainly due to the expatriates.

Nairobi has become extremely expensive because of the high number of expats who drive the rental market prices up to US/Europe levels

Apartments in Nairobi and Joburg are so different. I feel like Joburg is more modern and chic. I like house number 5 but that price has me running on the other side. House number 2.

Nairobi is nice but seems quite expensive for what you get. the differences are quite noticeable between the 2 countries too when I think of the SA big cities or Jhb, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria comparing to Nairobi…can see the differences in their approach to architectural design

#1 with the suicide shower. That's a no for me dawg. #2: You didn't say what floor it was on. If it's at least 5 floors up with a modern elevator, and a walkable location to some food, it's doable. #3: Brand new! Not a whole lot of skins cells on the furniture. You might feel a little claustrophobic, but you're not going to be in there for 8 hours at a time, at least not awake anyway. #4: Great views, modern. I got nothin' else. Winner. #5: Lot's of light and views, no carpet (less dna). Love the separate water closet (toilet) in the bathroom! Would be nice if you could get a lower price on it because you'd be paying for wasted space. Good stuff, Julian😊

I didn't like any of the Kilimani apartments. I have seen luxury apartments in Nairobi and these fell short of that standard. Google for even more options next time but glad you found one you liked.

@@lebo5281 The target is mainly Kenya's upper middle class then expats depending on the location. Kenya's 2019 census figures have whites at 0.1% of the total population & the Indian population at 0.3%(2nd highest ethnicity in the country). So making those your main market would be insufficient.

The toilet 🚽 bowl, is always my first eyes on 👀 point area, the brushing sink, handles and finally the bathroom layout and paint, am easily turned off by a suspicious spot,.. no offense to any one, just my own lifestyle.
