Been in Nairobi, Kenya for a month now and the love here is REAL!! A few days in my life here in Nairobi - I went out for Halloween to Alchemist in Westlands, got invited on a LegallyCluelessAfrica podcast, new custom clothes made by Kenyan celebrity fashion designer @Melina Gold (check her out on IG), went shopping at Two Rivers Mall and found discounted Zara clothing! the highlight of my week! The reason why the Zara stuff is cheaper is because there is a factory in Athi River, just outside Nairobi, for exports, but are allowed to get a few stuff into the local market, sold by a licensed outlet, same as Levi's and other brands. Not imported.

@@MC_TravelAdventures correction! It’s not visa free. What has happened is our government has waived visa fees for citizens of 42 countries including the ones you mentioned.
A visa is still required but at no charge for the time being.
It’s on our government pages.

You know all those brand names are manufactured in Kenya then exported to the US? Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, Disney clothing etc etc are just but a few examples. Check out EPZs in Kenya.

Yeap, but we're just part of a huge global supply chain. In Africa it's under AGOA. We barely do $1 billion in annual sales. But they do organize local sales in KICC some times. You can get the same denim jacket at an even cheaper price.
