Every time I see Baradwaj rangan and Nani speak, I see two people who are extremely passionate about cinema and genuine admiration for each other. It's a delight to watch their conversation.

This Interview clearly proves that good questions asked will always have very good answers. It's an absolute pleasure to watch BR and Nani together talking about cinema.
Even the biggest film business analyst wouldn't have given a better explanation to why Jersey and Shehzaada didn't work. That shows this guy's comprehensive understanding of films.

@@Jehandaruwalla Because their Hindi dubbed versions were not available. Drishyam 2 worked because Drishyam worked. Sequels generally work.
Ante Sundaraniki honestly was THE most refreshing and most innovative telugu film in a really long time. It has so much material that each character could have its own spin off. I mean the screenplay, acting, and the amazingly timed background scores - just the sheer art of film making packed in each screen blows me away. I've watched Ante for 5 times now and it's become my new "Aithe" IFYKYK ;)
I understand your emotion, but there is not even 1% semblance between Ante Sundaraniki and Aithe....

Totally agree to what you've said..Ante may have its flaws here and there but still its was definitely a great movie and one of TFI best movie in terms of Story telling and the whole plot points 👍

I always feel very bad for Jayam ravi, Karthi, Nani, three of ''em are criminally underrated they are doing superb content stuffed movies to entertain audience in a different way but still they didn't got enough limelight. Glad that Karthi and Jayam Ravi now turning BIG after PS-1 & PS-2 in world level, I hope Dasara too will give Nani a good recognition.
I don’t think Karthi and Nani are underrated, they are perfectly rated to be a part of any conversation that involves the topic of ‘best actors’ in their respective industry. More like they are undervalued, because there is more attention given to the so called “stars” like Vijay or Ajith who cater to the masses. Nevertheless, it’s satisfying to see that the audiences are starting to prioritise quality and substance over the exaggerated stardom. This epiphany is surely starting to grow as of late. Not massive enough, but surely there is a change in the minds of people.
Ignorant Tamil spotted ..... Nani has highest success ratio for any hero in TFI for the last decade .He got five 50 crore grossers , His highest being 70 cr . People should have sense to compare his collections with tier 1 stars because they had their debut in Industry like 6-10 years before Nani and they does Mass masala movies which has obvious footfalls for the genre . Dasara will be his first 100 cr grosser in Telugu language alone , As I know There won't be much revenue from TN as there reception confines to OTT itself . As some ignorants think Jersey and Shyam singh Roy were not flops , They crossed their break even mark and were hits , Ante sundaraniki would have been a hit if there is no competition with Action films like Major and Vikram .
@@ABHlSHEK from when dhanush has been in the Industry and how many tier 1 stars are there in Tamil only Vijay , Ajith . But in telugu already there are 6 tier 1 stars , here only so much of audience divided and each will get 200 cr . When there is such segregation of audience fandom obviously it will be tough for some one other than these to get those range of collections . In Tamil only Vijay , Ajith collects 200 cr and fanbase is less divided here so there is so much scope for others to collect atleast a 100 cr .

Ante was so so fun and refreshing. I watched it on a flight and I laughed so hard ! Had no idea it wasn’t a hit. Nani was so cute and charming . The dialogues humour screenplay and background score..Just wow!!

The issue during the release of this movie was RRR released around the same time unfortunately.
Its not a theatre experience movie and telugu audience including me dont like lag in movie. They could have easily told the story in 2 hours but they decided to add unecessary sequences. Arjun reddy was the only movie which didnt feel like lag although it was 3 hours long. Its not a typical way a story is told in telugu and we dont like lengthy movies in general.
Nani is not just an actor, he’s a cinema intellect.

Make those small aanimuthyalu for us which we will cherish between your block busters. I know Ante Sundaraniki kind of films have small market, but make budgets similar wise. Nani has indeed a good grip on the "good" commercial market and I see a good executive producer in him, making good choices that is already changing the dynamics of Telugu film industry. On a personal note, Ante Sundaraniki was one of the most refreshing film with an amazing production design that I have seen in recent past and will NEVER EVER accept that it did not do well !
