    It’s amazing to see a mainstream hero be so vulnerable and share so much of his insecurities in an interview. Very few actors make you feel they are being real in an interview and Dulquer is definitely in the top league

Man has given us so much and it is surprising to see that even someone as talented and successful as him can have insecurities. We always get a great interview when BR plays the film therapist!

    I dont think I ever considered him as "Mammootty's son" (unlike Pranav or Kalidas or Gokul tbh). Because he never banked on that.None of his earlier movies tried to manipulate the fans with the Mammootty factor. And never did Mammootty ever publicly endorse him or his movies. He was always his own guy. Kudos to him for that. ♥️

    There is genuinely serious growth in dulquer as an actor. From second show to the recent movies of his, you can sense how changed he is. When dulquer started out, either his roles or his acting didn't stand out as something only this person can do. The shades of him being that kind of an actor started out on NPCB Ibelieve. And from then on, Dulquer has started to grasp something about acting which makes him the amazing actor he is today. As he himself said, he has a Uber/groomed character set that he can play right now. Once he crosses that threshold and plays somebody like maheshinte prathikaram fahadh, there is no turning back for Dulquer. I genuinely hope Dq does that.

    • @user-ij5tq6sp2x
      @user-ij5tq6sp2x 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I genuinely think he can reach that level of acting. I've only seen growth from him as an actor. Kurup for example even though it became a commercial film in the ending, his performance, subtilty and maturity in acting was visible. And you can see what drives him - to earn respect of people as an actor on his own and his passion in film. After all he is the son of mammotty he will have high standards as an actor, although hes a different kind of actor. Even fahadh is a late bloomer who had to work on his craft a lot

    • @cinedoodles905
      @cinedoodles905 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@user-ij5tq6sp2x i completely agree with you that, he is on a growth trajectory. But I think we should stop talking about him as mammootty's son from now on. Having an actor as a parent would do nothing to your acting skills. Mammooty and Mohanlal are amazing actors, maybe, even some of the world's best actors. But let their sons do their own thing.

    and yes he is undoubtedly a gem 💎❤️..love you DQ ❤️(lots of love ❤️from Kolkata)

    Dq might be the only actor who has influenced the culture of keralites with just a single movie (NPCB). Hats off 🔥 and be proud of playing second fiddle characters, not many actors are willing to do that.
    Really wished Karwaan has released now, so they might have looked at it in a different perspective.

    • @ashstark8295

      Not just NPCB. Usthad Hotel, Charlie have also made cultural impacts in Kerala. Very influential movies among the youth. The very big reason for his massive young fan base.

    I wish if I could tell this to him in person that how much people love him... not because he being a megastar's son but because the pure gem of an actor he is 😭. I am a North Indian myself and it's being few years that I started exploring regional cinema. When I watched "Karwaan" ... I was so blown up by his performance that I had to search him on Google and since then I have watched all his movies. With each of his movies I couldn't resist to fall in love with him. He is just so natural that it feels he has got into the skin of the character... so be it Sita Ramam, Charlie, Ustad Hotel, Kurup, Mahanati, King of Kotha, Hey Sinamika, Guns & Gulabs, Chup, Kali, Ok Kanmani, Bangalore Days... each one in itself is a treat to watch.... 😍 Now the thing is people who are there to criticise, are bound to criticise only no matter what. If they would had been the real cinephiles, they would have appreciated DQ's range and calibre as an artist. I am against Nepotism as well... but he is not even the "N" of nepotism. I became his fan first then got to know that he is Mammootty Sir's son. He could inherit good looks but the talent and hardwork is all his..... So I and the millions out there are his fans like crazzzy. His mere presence is enough to make us watch a movie without even doubting it's content. His charm is because of his humility and simplicity, which is second to none. We love u DQ no matter what ❤

    I never thought he would have so much of pain inside, putting it out in an interview and still have a smile in his face. If you ask any current gen audience from neighbouring state, DQ would be one of the major reason why we started exploring Malayalam industry. So your father was never a reason for us to look at you, infact you were a reason for us to look at Malayalam cinema.

    DQ ! Just remember that no one can please every one. So don't even bother yourself with that aspect. You are very genuine soul and honest to your self. Very very few possess that superb Devine quality . Love your self and enjoy and you don't have to prove to any one including to your father ! I am sure he has his own short comings that you don't possess. You are complete in your role of life , and enjoy every bit of it. This fame, wealth and recognition is so temporary as you know . So don't waste your time and efforts on these aspects of life.
    Love you.

      You have very well put it up mate 👌
      Yes he is like none other... not even like his father. It took my heart when he said that when his father expresses anger through words, he decided he will never show his anger in that way. It takes guts to open up about family.... He really carries himself so well. Before being a good artist, he is truly a good human being. ❤

    Even after 32 somthing minutes, I wanted to listen more from DS. He was vulnerable but still feel, not himself fully. Like what he said how he will be with his best friend of 20 years.
    Nevertheless, I am most glad at not just the questions by BR but that he didn't interrupt DS from sharing his vulnerability.
    PS: I saw Chup last night. I am so glad Balki Sir wrote and directed this, and casted DS. He is both mesmerisingly psychopath and menacingly real.
