- This video shows you how to make a recent addition to Japan's curry menu - Sapporo Soup Curry. The Brits have their Mulligatawny soup which is curry based and this is also a Japanese variation on the curry theme. Unlike most Japanese curry dishes, you don't need curry cubes to make a Japanese soup curry - but you will need some curry powder, cumin, coriander, cinnamon and paprika powder. (You could say this is closer to an Indian curry than most Japanese curries).
Although the base for this dish is a soup, it's a really filling meal with chicken thig, chicken drumstick and an egg for each diner. Of course, you can cut down on the amount if you want to make your Japanese soup curry a little lighter!
Whichever you choose, I'm sure you will really enjoy this tasty, easy to make dish.

This was very tasty! Just fyi, the website with the recipe is down at this time. Do you have a particular brand of curry powder you prefer?
Thanks for pointing out the broken link, I fixed it.
I just used a generic supermarket mild curry powder in this recipe.
