As a foundry engineer i can tell you how special this is. Elaine allowing you in let alone film the process is something that very few foundries will do anymore! Awesome stuff Mike! Very cool to see how they do things from a process perspective!
Awesome to hear this from someone in the industry; I thought it was amazing they let me in there and wanted me to share it with the world. Thank you for the comment!
Great job Mike, I knew you would produce a quality documentary! It was very fun to watch! I love how Dave’s mind went right to a 6 cylinder banshee when stacking the molds 😂🤘
@@brennensbuildsmoore5537 wish I had a banshee for my handicap mom to ride. Pretty sure the content would brake the internet. I'd give anything to work at that place? Feel like I've been there before
Definitely not something anybody has access to see everyday, really loved the video & really learned something new today. Thank you CPI, thanks Mike, appreciate.
New Calvin for a long time. He was a smart and great man. I’ll never forget when he first came out with cheetah cylinders we had bought one of the first cheetahs and Lonnie at Sandtrax tuned the machine.
Great intro. Awesome video. Great narration. Pretty sure we are going to see incredible growth of your channel with content like this. Thankyou sharing this with us.
It was interesting to hear the story of CPI and see the production process, from the creation of the core, melting and finally the CNC machining. Thank you very much for letting us participate in these "magical" moments. Thank You very much. Suggestion for your future interview with the CPI team: it would be interesting to see how a cylinder is developed. I imagine the CAD study, the creation of prototypes by 100% CNC machining, and finally testing it on the dyno.
Your amazing brother! You knocked this one out the park better than top quad, U name it! I'm in tears bro! God bless u! God bless his children! God bless his and you're legacy Michael Sabo
Absolutely excellent and organic content Mike! It awesome that you captured a part of current Americana. Honestly enjoyed this video and keep up the good work!
This was so awesome Mike! Thank u. Thank you all at CP for manufacturing these parts here in the states. You should consider expanding and maby teaching the art to folks wanting to get into it so it's not lost. Many can say they build engines but u guys MAKE engines.
Very nice video. This reminds me of when my Dad used to work in the foundry at Pontiac motors. He used to talk about pouring molds for the 400 V8 Pontiac engines
I had no idea CP industries are a family company all working in house from ingot to finish. I have lusted after a set of cylinders for a long time- have my banshee for 18yrs now and want to keep it stock as much as possible but would really love a set of wampus servals to keep that ‘look’…. I just always imagined they were a big tech impersonal company. How wrong was I!! It’s gonna take some saving but this insight is pushing me to save save save!! Calvin and his family are pure legends. Thank you Michael for this amazing and spine tingling insight. Blown away Love from UK🇬🇧
I didn't realize Cammex was The same company as CPI. Talk about some rare old-school 250r cylinders. This was an amazing video. Thank you for making this.
Really well put together video! I always wondered how they cast all the ports in a cylinder so found this very interesting. Even more so because it was about the legendary cheetah cylinders.
Wow awesome content Sabo. this was so amazing to watch. this makes me appreciate even more the cylinders that i run ! the whole process is a pieces of art ! CPI FTW
Mike the video was awesome. Great info. Really informative on the process is amazing. The employees really seemed to enjoy the work they do there. Great video!!!
Very very cool video. Love this kind of videos and this kind of small business excellence. true hard working innovative spirit of America in these types of places. Thanks for making this video!
Awesome video man!!! I've always wondered how they make this kind of stuff. Truly interesting stuff!!! Thanks for showing us man!! This truly is a lost art!! Very cool!!
lotta glass cleaner. great video thanks for the insight. its funny what you imagine in your head for a company like CPI vs what reality is. I had in my head a 400 acre facility with massive warehouses, thousands of employees, gigantic parking lots and forklifts running around everywhere.
I was expecting to see a shop that didn't resemble my grandpa's garage. I think it's time CPI invests into the infrastructure of their business. I'm not saying a capable product can't spawn from humble beginnings, my grandpa kept multiple riders riding without a single DNF due to equipment failure all from his garage. I just expected to see something different from a company as long standing as CPI. I love thier passion driven by the memory of the founder. Awesome video.
It's crazy how not what's in your head can be so different from what it really is. I can tell you that they definitely put in the time and effort to make a great product regardless of what they're working with!
Watching this makes me wish CPI made a cylinder assembly for my YZ465. It may be pricier than mainstream parts but this way you're supporting a family owned business vs a corporation. Plus it's just made better and would last longer. :)
@@MichaelSabo That sure would be cool indeed. But I need to start hoarding parts and worry about getting it running first before anything else. Just waiting for the snow and cold weather to go away. :)

That was interesting. The staff were polite and professional.
This was just as good as an episode of "how it's made" and much better edited than "dirty jobs" ever was.
