Bri, wow this was just the coolest Japan store haul!! The whole video was amazing!! So glad you guys had so much fun and happy to hear you are back on the full time artist route again!! ❤✏️✒️🖌️✨🙌🏽
Ahhh thank you it’s probably my favorite haircut I’ve ever gotten! And I’ve been learning how to take care of my wavy hair and curls are starting to come out which is super exciting :-)
Oooo what an awesome gift haul Bri!! Your friends and family will be happy to receive them. Have a beautiful holiday 😊✏️ So excited you are going after a career in art full time!!! So exciting!!!
I’m really excited to gift everything in a couple days! I didn’t include it in this haul but I also bought a bunch of chocolate for everyone to try :-) thanks so much for watching!!
Awesome haul! I was in Japan earlier this year and I miss all the amazing traditional architecture and all the art shops. I believe the single pan of watercolor is the Kissho brand! I've only seen Kuretake here in the US, and kinda wish that I'd picked up some Kissho ones while I was over there. Just gotta go back I suppose. ;D I think these are known as gansai type paints and people generally refer to them as kind of a blend of watercolor and gouache. From what I remember, white is added and that makes the paint more opaque.
I miss the architecture and beautiful streets sooo much! They filled me with so much inspiration for making art going forward :-) thank you so much for the info! I’ve heard of the Kuretake paints but I did think these looked a little different. You should definitely pick up some when you go next time! One of my only regrets is not picking up more than that one pan, because I’ve used it a few times now and it’s just lovely!! I love learning about paints so I really appreciate the info you shared! 🤓
✏️Bri!!!! I loved going to Sekaido and crying how cheap everything is compared to here in the US! I’m glad you enjoyed! Since I went in 2018, I’ve got into fountain pens and Traveler’s Notebooks so… I can’t wait to be back!!!!!!!! Best trip of my life! This video gave all the electrolytes I needed! ❤pencil ✏️ pencil ✏️
I might get a Travelers notebook next time I go, my boyfriend’s been loving his!! Also I’ve been using my fountain pen a surprisingly amount already! Do you draw with yours? I’ve been sketchbooking with mine and it’s so fun :-)
Can I just say you looked stunning in this video 😂 such a good haul too! For the ruler you could try a varnish on it! That’s what I did for keychains that scratch off
Omg you’re so nice thank you! Ooo that’s a great idea, I might try that if I start seeing any signs of wear! I’ve been keeping it in the back pocket of my hobonichi cover and I think it’s been pretty safe there so far thankfully 🤞🏼
How did you get tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum omg it’s soooo hard to get tickets there 😢 Also glad you’re back on YT OMGGG Can’t wait for more videos from you again ❤
It was so difficult and stressful! We logged onto the website 30 minutes before they were released to get into the pre queue line, and we had 7 devices! Only two of the devices ever made it to the page to buy tickets. Both of them were our iPhones, so it almost seems like mobile devices got the priority? That could just be pure chance though. We used our iPads and computers and they were like 22,000 in the queue and would’ve been sold out if we only relied on those 🥲 But yay I’m super pumped to be making videos again!! I’m glad people are actually excited for more vids :,)
The paint at 12:13 is gansai! Which is similar to watercolour and gouache. The one you bought may be by the brand kuretake, which is very popular and famous. But I'm not 100% sure
Ok that’s actually what my friend and I thought! It feels very high quality, super pigmented! Honestly that’s one of my only regrets is that I didn’t buy more of the paint 😅
✏️ Phenomenal video! I'm going on my second Japan trip next month and am definitely excited to do fantastic shopping again!

No fr it was soooo hard to resist buying more! And I feel like I DID buy a lot haha but I easily could’ve bought twice as much :’)

Also, at 16:56 - magic pens are what we call marker pens - especially those used in schools. I don't know why though haha 😅
Ok that’s actually what my friend and I thought! It feels very high quality, super pigmented! Honestly that’s one of my only regrets is that I didn’t buy more of the paint 😅
Omg thank you so much for solving the magic pen mystery for me! Literally every time I use it I wondered why haha
I want to go to Japan ❤

At 24:19 there are two kanji where you pointed, you probably referred to 九 which means 9, the previous one 巻 is read as kan and means volume.
