    I’m 59 and post radioactive iodine for Graves’ disease in 2000. Testosterone treatment presents a dilemma for me. Don’t use it: hair falls out in patches on my legs and torso, turning me into a reverse leopard since I have black hair, but the bald spot on my head has its expansion stopped in its tracks since there’s no testosterone to drive it. Use it: my leopardization slows, but the bald spot on the crown of my head returns to its expansion. Obviously going to have to give up SOMETHING, but would prefer not to. I don’t understand the mechanism whereby use of testosterone appears to have opposite effects depending on where the hair is located. My pharmacology courses were too long ago to remember I guess. Possibly there’s some interplay with sequelae from having thyroid ablated. One never thinks much about the thyroid until it’s gone, then one gives it a LOT of thought. I believe it is an important gland in ways we haven’t uncovered yet, even in 2019, when we think we know all there is to know about it. When I take T4 only, I feel like walking death. When I add T3, I feel 75% normal. Have not felt completely up to par (100%) since treatment & likely never will, many things have been tried. Still something missing, unfortunately. Nobody’s fault. Whatever the missing puzzle piece is, medicine hasn’t discovered it yet. T4 alone just isn’t sufficient for a significant %age of hypothyroid patients for some reason, & T3 supplementation is only a partial solution for those unable to sufficiently convert T4 to T3 (the main active form). A physician friend told me once, “no doctor on earth utterly & completely understands the thyroid’s complexity & all of its functions, except one guy I knew from Cleveland clinic when I was there....he’s dead now”.
    His statement had the ring of truth to it.

    I'm only 31, but my testosterone level took a nosedive at least 15 years ago. Thankfully I'm just starting it so hopefully I won't feel like shit for much longer.

      AgentFour how did it work for you? Can this help any with gaining weight or developing muscle mass?

    • @SniperLogic
      @SniperLogic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eric Hollopeter If you are deficient in the hormone, then it will help you developed normal muscle mass that you may be lacking due to your low production of natural hormone. Don’t use it if your levels are normal in order to ‘bulk up’ because it can have some unwanted and irreversible side effects, such as going bald early, especially if you are heading that way anyway. It can also cause you to have liver problems which can cascade into having trouble with metabolism of other meds you may have to take and/or generally interfering with your liver function. Use it only if you are not producing adequate testosterone naturally, and then only to return your blood levels to normal range. Of course, if you’re aiming to become yellow and bald, this could potentially be the go to med to use in really high doses. lol I don’t recommend that.

    I'm on generic androgel (perrigo) 50mg. My Dr. wants to up the dose. Can I just put another 50mg pack on top of the dried application that I used this morning or does one usually shower first and start fresh? Thanks for the video.

      jpaulglobal switch to injections, i’m sure you figured it out because it is four years ago that you posted, I wanted to share this though. Did you switch? If you didn’t please tell me where you stand with it now.

It is a great one of a kind guide for destroying your erectile dysfunction problem without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my BF got excellent results with it.

    I test under 200 total T consistently after noon, but I test in the 300’s at 8AM but with a low (8.2) free T and my doctor will not treat me. He said I need two test done at 8AM, one week apart for him to treat me and he only looks at total. So why even test the free T then?
    I feel like crap after I eat lunch and it declines throughout the evening. Why are my symptoms ignored and the test are required when my T levels would be at their highest? Doesn’t the rest of my day matter? Is it an insurance thing?
    Please advise.

      Going through the same shit. The fucking "system" is at war with men. Im 38 with a Total T of 262 and Free T of 4.4 ng/dl. After firing my primary I think i have found a dr that is trying to help but is making go through the whole process of blood draw again using all his practices lab of choice and what not. The Dr even mentioned the Quest lab results that i brought in would not allow him to prescribe me with testosterone because you have to literally be under the total T of 250 ng/dl which Quests standards i guess are low. He said his lab he uses the minimum is like 320 or something. Fuck doctors these days unless you have a life threatening disease or need surgery.

      @@huskybrushape yup...persistence and self knowledge will get u what u need. After 3 doctors and a 3 blood draws i finally "fit" the specific standard required. And i only just barely fit. I already had a back up plan ready to go so by the time i fit the systems numbers i wasnt too worried about it anyway. I had purchased everything i needed online and was ready to go at it alone (test cyp 300mg/dl from the UK) syringes/alcohol swabs on Amazon). Getting the test cyp was not very difficult but there is still the "trust" factor and all the info is out there just got to dig around. I ended up self dosing anyway cuz doc was simply not giving me enough. Now im right in the middle and feel great. U can do it too and still go to ur doc and be truthful and have them monitor ur blood work but u got to deal with the legality of getting the medicine from somewhere else. If i had to do it all over again i would have gone at it alone from the start but the whole thing was a learning experience so that did help me some forcing me to research for hours and hours like a god damned college student.
