This is a dream-comes-true lineup! Gary, Phil, Scott, Cozy, and Don! What a wonderful performance! Thank you for sharing.
How am I 49 y/o and seeing this for the first time on 2/13/24??? Amazing!!
You were only three years old when this was recorded that's why.
Serious energy, Moore, Lynott, Powell, Gorham, Airey, what a line up!
Stunning group and probably the only guy that could regularly keep up with Gary on guitar. Scotty Goram what a player.
Thin Lizzy was like the Yardbirds of the '70s when you think about all the great guitarists who have played in the band. Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore, Snowy White, John Sykes, and others.
Fearn pol Scott is a great underated guitarist was with Phil the longest in Lizzy must be awful for him to lose so many friends..
Bathtubgeorge! A truly badass lineup
amen
It's somewhat amazing to think that such awesome line-ups regularly hit the television 'stage' back then. What a sensational performance!!
Actually played live!
Bloody amazing. Gary, Phil, Scott, Cozy and Don - what a line up!
One of the best live tv appearances I,ve ever seen.Gary Moore rocking out with flawless, technique, feel & speed with just the right amount of swagger to look oh so cool, & how tight is the band.Thin Lizzy knocking ,em dead in the aisles.RIP Gary Moore & Phil Lynott.
and Cozy Powell
Gary, Phil, Cozy, Scott Gorham & Don Airey! A true supergroup if there ever was
Gary and Phil, two brothers with love and hate for each other. They love each other as brothers but the competition from each other was almost hate but that helped them to produce incredible work.
Absolutely True
Absolutely amazing! I miss music like this, today's trash is enough to make you vomit! RIP Gary, Phil and Cozy.
Look further than music TV and shitty radio and you'll still find awesome music.
Thank you sir. All over the world is undergoing the trash "music". unfortunately every country has this problem. Which they are not even music. God bless good and real musicians.
Also good listeners ❤
Wonderful, i remember those days back when we had music, miss you guys.
Phil Lynott, the coolest Bassist to ever live. RIP
What a great bass player Phil Lynott was. RIP.
Man, this sounds way ahead of its time... Gary was a friggen genious... RIP.
40 plus years after the event and this still kills
As I followed Gary Moore and Thin Lizzy thru the years I realized they often played together so this video is cool cool cool RIP brother's in arms and jam on forever✌😎
That literally just melted my face off.
so much talent on one stage....phenomenal!
Phil was always collaborating with the best musicians of his day.
Phil and Gary always helped each other out miss them both.
Great clip thanks for posting.
I feel lucky to have seen them all play live, This was way ahead of it's time, just perfect hard rock!...we will never forget!
up ありがとうございます。
豪華メンバーですね⤴
貴重な映像、ありがとうございます🎵
Happy memories. So many god like musicians in one band, loved this line up.
Great live version. Gary Moore kick it with Scott Gorham, Phil Lynott, Cozy Powell & Don Airey.
Gary Moore never even equalled for accuracy, melodic runs, The Master.
There are literally thousands of players more melodic and more accurate.. Gorham is way more melodic. Gary just shred mindless scales.
Totally agree about Gorham
Absolutely correct! The amount of work he put out and is still out there is undeniably unique and IMO unequaled. RIP
@@chrischoir3594 What a truly ridiculous comment.😂
@@Civilian2.0 Gary's best work was with Cozy Powell or Coliseum, He played some melodic stuff on those albums. Gary's work with Thin Lizzy was pedestrian.
Gary Moore just could not be denied !!
What a performer and what a guitarist !
RIP Garry and Phil! Two great musicians/ singers who didn't deserve death.
@Mrdudeguitar0 - It’s spelled Gary and Cozy arguably deserved it the least of the three.
@Crush Everything I was 10 when I originally wrote that comment haha! I didn't even know who Cozy Powell was at the time but over the years he's become one of my drumming heroes. RIP Gary, Phil and Cozy
a 10 year old commenting on youtube on a gary moore vid? my kid just watched markiplier five night at freddies videos,AVGN and roblox shit, well done@@MrDudeguitar0
Now this is real musicianship! Gary with the 1959 Les Paul!!!!:D
Greenie!!👂🎶🤤
Greeny still had some burst on it then amazing guitar and guitarist Gary Moore rip
Dont get no better than this!!!
Raun Lynott This is a POWERHOUSE ACT ! Pure energy, yeh Phil on bass and a cracking drummer, this bunch could take anyone on !
I remember this on old grey sent shivers down your spine.Amazing ŔIP.
jesus lord i considered my self a Thin Lizzy expert, and i have never seen this (sooo much for me to learn!!!) thanks for uploading
Well this isn't Thin Lizzy so...
2:45 The fullness of the music made me smile. My god. Just, keyboards, guitars came in again with a BANG.
So much talent...Sad only 2 are left alive....Amazing
One of the best sessions on a great show 🎸🎸🎤
Remember buying this album and playing this track over and over for the solo!!!
One track to stick a whole concert of rock energy into..... ✅
Lynotts growling bass is the perfect accompiment to Moore and Gorhams stampeding guitars and all the time there the great Don Airey filling in behind them. What a class lineup...
Lynott was really hot on bass
I was lucky to see them live a couple of times..Great bands around at that time. Big fan of Colloseum 11 also.. Gary Moore. what can you say...Genius....
3 Major losses here Gary, Phil, Cozy RIP Boy's we miss ya
sad we all have to die.........
Freakin incredible! Our hero's at their finest.😊
Energetic + accurate performance. Killer tempo. I'm amazed.
Remember this as if it was yesterday, within days owned a copy of the album.
All you young 'shredders' take a lesson..... God bless ya Gazza!! (And Phil's Precision Bass sounds like it could take yer head off at 20 paces!!!!)
Thanku you,Phill,Cozy,and Mr・Gary・・・!
From Tokyou Japan
ちきしょう・・かっこいい!
That keyboard riff Don Airey plays around 0:14 sounds alot like the end of the keyboard intro to "Mr Crowley." I believe he also played keyboards on the Blizzard of Ozz album.
Yup. And Bark At The Moon.
LOVE that Phil plays bass on this!
Anthony Hilton Isn't it Thin Lizzy ? Why wouldn't he play bass. The other guy on guitar is from TL also.
labtide Gary solo with the Lizzy guts backing him, because Irish! :)
O.K. thanks for the info
Little teensy bit of punk energy on this one...great band...unreal this line up
Really should be more views on this classic rock performance
Seen this on the OGWT first time round & was blown away,& it sounds even better today....R.I.P Gary, you'll be sadly missed:-(
holy crap!! this song is awesome......that main riff !!!!! whoa..
70's Rock is the best. Never got any better
This boy sure can play! His backing band are quite good too😅
Definitely show promise 😉
Holy shit! Gary, Phil, Cozy, Scott, Don wowza! check out Dont believe a word also!
RIP GARY SUPER ROCKERS SEVENTIES UN DES MEILLEURS GUITARISTE AVEC UNE PECHE D ENFER ON NE T OUBLIES PAS GARY !!
the number one!!!!gary moore R.I.P
never saw this recording, wow, wonderful, gary is still one of my top favorite quitarist of all times
one of the best performances I've ever seen
Absolutely amazingly awesome, Gary Moore was an amazing guitarist musician
Wow!...What a line up...40% Rainbow,60% Lizzy...NIIIIICE!
I love the classic Lizzy lineup, but there was really something magical when Gary, Phil and Scott were on stage together. The energy here and in the Sydney Lizzy 1978 concert are off the charts.
super group--never seen this --fantastic
tears in my eyes ...
R.I.P. Gary & Phil.... u guys were the best..
now that is rock n roll at it's finest!
This is like Thin Lizzy on steroids, lol. Great. kickass, rocking stuff.
Garry Moore may have had the fastest hammer-on/pull-offs I've ever heard
Might have to do with him being a lefty. In ym experience, southpaws who learn to play guitar right-handed often have beautiful vibrato and legato playing.
@@MrBromansaInteresting. I've never thought of that 👍
The bassist is just about the coolest guy on the planet!!
Phil Lynott on bass
What an absolute classic!
Gary Moore certainly used to know how to rock!
Huge loss to the world in both Cozy Powell and Phil Lynott. RIP guys.
I know what people mean by saying today's music makes u want to vomit, it makes me want to also, I miss music and musicians of this caliber very much, what makes it even more sad is we'll never see the likes of it again.....
Back on the streets GARY MOORE
I like this. This is great.
phil lynott was so great. it takes moore from 10 to 11.
I must have said 'fucking hell' about ten times during this. SO GREAT.
its easy to pick it apart.....looking back....I'm just glad they did what they did....what they all did....r.I.p. still got the bluesji
I bet you a pint those three are up there jammin right now!!!!
Awesome. Man I miss Gary
R.I.P. thx for the upload.
Gary was the greatest guitarist ever!!!
Gary always fantastic...
RIP Gary. RIP Phil, RIP Cozy.
This was Gary's Tucker Jenkins period. :)
that bassplaying from phil omg so good.
just listen to the precision timing at the end of this song between the bass and guitar
these guys were in there element. Thick as thieves.
ITs way inferior to anything the Al Dimeola collaborations did.
*****
Gary Moore completely fries anything Al Dimeola ever played. Gary Moore had soul in his fingers as well as fast alternate picking. All Al Dimeola has is fast alternate picking and theory knowledge. No feel or soul at all...
Simon Loveland Agreed. Gary Moore was an absolute beast on the guitar, there was NO style or genre he could not play or assimilate! He played what he wanted, when he wanted and didn't give a shit what anyone said...Di Meola is a phenomenal player in his own right but let's not compare apples and oranges. One player set the world on fire with his playing and refused to be restricted to any single style, while the other was trapped in a certain genre for the majority of his career
Simon Loveland Al Di Meola can play with feel and soul, but his fast playing is very clinical and he always seems to be too inclined to showing off.
***** As Bob Daisley once said, "Gary was a jack of all trades and a master of all of them"
Heaven sure must be rocking.Peace.
Aalton - you are right, no one today can match this. One word : Badass!!!
RIP Phil , Gary and Cozy!!
How can anyone give that a thumbs down? Must be a bunch of Coldplay fans or something..
folks this is live they turn up plug in and go not the sheet you see today more worried about their hair
Top..Moore Lynott and Powell Gorham live...great band
Cozy Powell got a lot accomplished in his few fleeting years of existence. He's playing on back on the streets.check out M.S.G. Or rainbow down to earth.
good god, that bassline is monstrous!
Nobody rocked as hard as these guys, incredible performance ❤
Amazing musicians. First Class stuff.
RIP Phil and Gary!!!!!
I remember watching this when it went out live. I bought the album the next day.
I fucking love this number, Rockin Every Night and Rockin and Rollin are also kick ass.
That double attack @ 0:20 is hot stuff, but when they break it on down with the united front @ 1:45 its an RnR powerblast.... shooting rainbow lazers, & smashing through the evil in the world.......
Well said! 👍🍻
I saw them on their last tour. Without Gary of course. The lead was John Sykes. Best gig I have ever been to.
RIP Gary,... 4/4/1952 -- 2/6/2010,...
The great Cozy Powell on drums ... Kick Arse right there.
the stranglers esque bit was cool
À chaque fois qu'il se passait quelque chose d'excitant Don Airey était là
