it's a process of capturing the Navionics map in JPG and overlaying it on Earth. you'll have to carefully align key features (roads, marinas, points, etc...) to get it close enough. I have another video that shows you how to do that. Look around the channel on mapping and you'll find it. Best of luck.
Thanks SK. That'll be and awesome series for Crappie, as I'm sure you'll teach us some new tricks on breaking down lakes to catch'um. Look forward to them, Tim
Not all Lakes are a part of a large River System ie. Colorado , Brazos,Guadalupe,Red River etc etc. Do you use this same approach to find fish on a smaller lake or lakes that only have one feeder creek?
If there is a feeder creek, you'll try to find the original creekbed as the superhighway of travel. do the same, and it may not be as pronounced. But they'll travel the old creekbed. Tim
For sure. I’ve got some new spots picked out on my normal lake. I hope to try them tomorrow. A few pinpoints near shallow flats just off the main river channel and deep water. ;)

Yes, It's a tedious process of capturing the image from Navionics and doing an "import" and then sizing it to fit into the landmarks on googleEarth. I have a 3 part series on this process, but you can get your question answered in part1/3 4 min video th-cam.com/video/PDa3z_nFo-w/w-d-xo.html
I guess the "premier" ended.... I thought I would have been able to continue the live session. But thanks all for joining. Let me know if you have any comments, suggestions or ideas. Tim
Awesome, good info , when you find them are you using di , 2d , or side imagining, also when you find them and turning on your spot lock do you mark your waypoints on di or 2d or side imagining, thanks awesome video
Steven, great question. I'll be doing a follow-up video on LBJ to go to those waypoints and do what we talked about in the video. Since I have Livescope, I use it exclusively to find and monitor fish behavior to decide what techniques to use. But before I had LVS, I used tradition chirp sonar in conjunction with DI to identify fish. I typically, I mark waypoints with trad sonar or DI. I'll take note and will cover this when I do the lake video. Thanks for your great question, Tim
Good advice
thank you. hope you get some use out of it. Tim
Loaded my freezer with white bass using information from your vide. Thanks so much for the help!
Man, that's great to hear your success! What lake are you on?
@@skunkedagain Lake LBJ. Figured why not go directly to the spot you used in your demonstration. :-) Turns out you were right!
@@CatchinTheReelLife Smart move to at least try the spot covered in the video! you guys look like you were having a blast catching fish. I love that!
great info thanks great vid very cool
Glad you found it useful. Thank you for your comment. Tim
I've been hammering the whites out on lake Travis lately after sundown. Might have to get myself one of those thumpers

Really good content! Now let’s go hit those spots to see if they produce.
This is great! How did you overlay the Navionics map over the google earth map? Knowing this will be very helpful. Thank you

Great job Tim! Very informative! Ready to get back out there!
Thanks Jon, you're still part of the record holding team.... Let's break our own record. Tim
Great info.....I have a series coming on "new lake" and cover some of what you covered but you know the species I'm after..... Stay At'um......

Loved the video!!! In the summer time would you be running S patterns in 10-20ft of water? I will be at LBJ starting June 15 2020
I actually quit fishing freshwater in the summer because I switch to saltwater. But, it would probably be deeper as the day goes along. It’s so hot.
Awesome brother. Appreciate your time.
Thank you for your kind comments, I'm glad you're able to get some info out of the video. Tim

Also. I’m in Austin a few times a year. I would love to go fishing with you, if you ever have the time and space.
