Hello Marie! I’m getting into undergrad soon and I aim to sit the gamsat before I graduate. May I ask when do I have to start preparing? Do I have to start preparing by the first year of university? English isn’t my native language and Im concerned whether that will be an obstacle for me. I’ve also never studied physics, let alone excelled in physics, so I’m somewhat worried about that section.
You're never too old! There's a few people in my class in their 30s, and we have one gentleman in his 50s. Plenty of people in their 20s drop out, whereas when you go for it in your 30s, you know you'll stick it out.
Really helpful, thank you so much. Are the essays hand written or typed? Everything I have seen elsewhere suggests that it is typed but this video implies the opposite. Can anyone confirm please? Many thanks
Wow this was super helpful! Thank you! I’m planning to sit the March 2020 exam and have started preparing already. Do you offer any tutoring services by any chance? Thank you! :)
I'm afraid not! If you had any idea of how busy my life was, you'd know why I couldn't possibly even dream of tutoring people! Glad you found it helpful... it's a horrible exam but you'll get through it!
@@jesserivera1814 You will! And it's not a one hit wonder. Loads of people sit it several times so don't worry if you have to as well. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it!!! ;-)
Hiya, Thanks! It's all very dependent on the individual really. I never bought any of them, except for the sample paper book that Gold Standard brought out. I got it around a month before the exam and used that to practice answering. I just feel you can study and read all you want, but you won't improve or learn how to do it without practising. But I know people who swear by the massive Gold Standard book as well. When are you sitting it?
@@deewhatsherface You actually have loads of time. Practice, practice, practice. Try to master a new topic a day, and don't neglect what you're good at either. The most traumatic thing about that exam is the length of it, it goes on for hours! So plenty of fluid, and eat well in the run up. Pack a lunch too. You don't want to spread your break in a panic looking for a food!
am a non science background and preparing for the gamsat (march 2021). could u pleas tell me which topics do i need to prepare for bio, chem , physics and what books or resources u have used and found it useful. am really struggling on how to prepare for S3 as i have no science background. i just dont know where to start. i do know that i have to practice the Acer practice test and questions etc, but i dont know whether i should learn certain science topics and then attempt the acer practice questions and test or do i just jump to the acer material. ur answer will be very much appreciated ❤
hi am medicine student in syria and nearly to graduate by the end of this year is there afully funded scholaship to be a residant at RCSI ? PLEASE it is a humanity case 🙁
Hi, I really don't know. But I'm sure if you got in touch with the admissions office in RCSI they would be able to give you all the information you need. Best of luck!
Not precise. Everyone who sits in gamsat knows about it. Not really helpful. Be pinpoint on how to get excellent idea from quote. Not just writing but writing in particular path and destination. Need more closer look...
Great video and we definitely agree with you that section 2 is one of the easiest papers to improve your mark.

Hi. quick question. I was curious why you chose to study medicine? I'm always keen to know why people chose medicine
Thank you for the insight on section 2. Do you know if we are allowed to incorporate the quotes given to us into our essay?
This is really helpful also can you be able to correct my easy? If you can how can I send my writing to you?
