Just moved to Note 10 Plus 5G and Still find the Note 8 better when it comes to Video. unlike the Note 8, the Note 10 does not have stability in it.

By using this technique, you may loose the water proof feature of the phone. The rubber grommet of tray will leak the water inside and one day, you may damage your phone. You cant see the gap building in it, but it definitely affect the performance
Don't take risk and don't play with your expensive phone. 64GB memory is good enough and quickly transfer the content to a PC or get a pendrive with USB C type adapter.
Putting a memory card in your device doesnt effect it in anyway shape or form. The phone is not actually water proof the is actually water resilient

See the extension is not water proof ... but its insulated and will be behind the case. We can apply a water proof tap to it if someone is sceptical
this exactly my concern also. Maybe apply some water, heat, and electric proof tape, so it'll stay insulated. Also, are you able to remove the tray from the phone? This is my biggest concern over anything. like Can you try it multiple times without any issues? Loved your vid btw.

😳 I try to do that in my samsung galaxy S9+ & note 10lite.. actually Both Sim is On. But suddenly comes the error message! "something in the Sim Tray that not shouldn't be there" blocking the Display, so I can't use the phone before removing the sim adaptor.

As far as your phone supports dual SIM or to say it has hybrid SIM slot... it will work with full capability ...but at one time data will work with only one SIM depending on your choice

After updating to PIE, i'm note able to use hybrid sim slot on my Galaxy Note 8. When i insert hybrid in Galaxy note 8 Pie, POPUP appears says sim card tray slot problem, but phone has read both behind and memory card. Pop does not get disable and stuck on the screen. Forcefully i need to remove the slot and reverse back to 1 sim and MC

I don't think so ... however even if it does its really a matter of choice... for some dual sim may have higher priority than rare scenario of dropping phone in water... moreover you can still apply a water proof tape on this external SIM slot and use a back case to cover it to accidentally dropping it in water

..there is no such thing as Sim Card Manager on my Note 8 with latest Android on. BTW, whats the point in using this 'extension'? The phone got at least 64GB of own memory so cant really see any use for memory card, just use tray for 2 sim cards :)
This is because your SIM supports only single SIM ... this trick is only for phones with hybrid SIM tray ... and using it or not using it is a personal choice or requirement

No you won't lose the warranty at all ... because every thing is external ...even if the water gets into this extension it won't impact the internal components... only you will have to replace this external support at max which would cost about $ 1.5 ...and moreover you can insulate the extension too as only SIM slot is exposed to water rest part is already insulated (thin connectors)

Hi man. I was using this feature until last night I updated my Android to android 9 and afterwards it tells me that there seems something unusual to be in the SD card slot so I had to take the SIM card out. I checked this with the SD card, with the SIM card, and each of them works perfectly but both together gives me the message again that it seems something to be in the SIM card slot and the phone doesn't work. Is it because of the new Android 9 or my SIM card has been moving in the slot or something has happened to it? please tell me if you know what this case is.
samsung blocked the 2sim using extension cable.. time to sell it and byu another brand phone
