I was a bit doubtful but it worked! You have to be meticulous and pay attention to where exactly the SIM should stay (not too much to the edge, closer to the middle of the SD card). It took me a couple attempts and I damaged a bit the SIM tray trying to reopen it. If you have to push too hard to close it, don't do it! In the end I used a nail file to make the SD card a tiny bit thinner where the SIM has to fit, paid again attention to where it should go, and finally it worked and would go in without too much resistance.
Risk that was not mentioned: - Some phones have very tight sim slots, so you might slide you sim slot inside but there's the chance that you won't be able to remove your sim again, because it became very tight to slide after pushing the hole using your sim tool. - Also, the sim behind the sd card was not detected anymore after I rebooted my phone, so I guess this trick did not work for me. Still thankful that my other sim and sd card still works though. To those thinking about doing this trick, just make sure that the sim that you're going to burn is the expendable one, because in my opinion, there is a high chance that you will fail trying to imitate this trick.
So I actually thouight this would never work ...I got brave enough to try it and except the fact that i mixed my sims and did it on my basic sim and not the secondary I intended to it actually worked.I got to say you just saved me.My phone is Huawei P10 Lite! GJ !

thats the reason why others need to apply some double adhesive tape so the 2nd sim should not move around especially if the tray and sim has room to wiggle around the slots, Im afraid thats not covered in the warranty and you have to pay extra for OEM technicians to fix the issue. Reason is unathorized modification not following cautions in manuals. Just be carefull next time.
ok I didnt sand the SD or SIM or anything to make a hybrid work. However, I have to use hot glue anyway to hold the SIM in place otherwise it would move out of its place. Mine is Galaxy Note8. Thanks your video made my life a lot easier.

It just enters in my mind this question why does samsung remove another tray for sim 2. Why do they need to make 2-way card tray for sim 2/sd card. Trays are too small. For a size of a unit. My old phone have 2 trays j7pro. Now i am using a52. I got dilemma cause i need my sd card and 2 sims.

I don't know I tried and damaged sim probably will try again but its tight fit you have to sand down sd and sim and is tricky to hold it in place. I don't know whats wrong with manufactures in Europe is hard to just use 1 card cause data roaming is expensive and 156 GB is not enough Add I would not be surprised if they would blocked 2 sim if sd is inserted Don't sand down sd on the bottom it has only very thin layer of plastic

Doesn't work on S9. Just like in the S10, it gets too thick... Luckily I tested it on an old sim card
