Guns at walmart
Drones in place of police force
Volcano game
Adrenaline rush
APARTHEID still is there
freeing up the spider was so sane at the end

She asks me to kill the spider. Instead, I get the most peaceful weapons I can find.
I take a cup and a napkin. I catch the spider, put it outside and allow it to walk away.
She asks me "Why?", I say, "If I am ever caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, just being alive and not bothering anyone,
I hope I am given the same kind of mercy.”
This inspires me to keep writing my own unique poetry/slam poetry. Good stuff my man

The way how I understand it, you have to be a member to be featured unless there's a competition and you happen to win it. Hope this helped!

Winning helps, and being one of authors helps but just competing at national and regional poetry slams is another way on. Next week we'll be running video from WOWPS 2023 which happened in Baltimore at the end of last month.
We'll be running the winner but also most of the finalists and many other poets we were lucky enough to film while we were there.
