I am in love with these music cues. Makes me love the Original Theme song even more. I wish they never updated it cause it still works today. Classic through & through
Edd Kalehoff, the Moog synthesizer king, composed some great tunes for TPIR, Nickelodeon’s original “Double Dare” and other programs for Bob Israel’s Score Productions company.
Brings back childhood memories... they should do some shows using the old music. 6:57 is my favorite but they are all great! When I hear the closing music, I always hear Johnny Olson in my head say "This is Johnny Olson for the Price is Right, a mark goodson bill todman production. Stay tuned for secret storm (or Tattletales)"
Man these remind me of being out of school during the summer and me and my cousins would run in the house to watch TPIR with our grandmother. TPIR was the only show that could pull us back in the house🤣
It sounds like a couple of those cues are the type of music cues when they would walk off a contestant when they lose, but the price is right was not that type of show that would have those type of cues so I’m wondering if maybe they just didn’t know what they were gonna do with the show yet and they just made all kinds of music for whatever possible scenario.
So was I!! I was born April 12th 1972 in Santa Rosa California then later lived in the Twin Cities Mpls St Paul MN from 1974-81 before moving to Baltimore MD & living in MD for going on 44 years!! When & where you were born in 1972?
Hi! It's definitely not a complete list. I've chosen the cues that I personally like the best, and left a lot of the slower ones out. Sorry if I left out one of your faves.
LUV the Moog !!! Brings back my childhood memories. Staying home, being “sick” from school (actually faking it). Watching TPIR in the morning.

Wouldnt it's be Cool if this was playing always no matter what. This is your life sound track.
Edd Kalehoff also did the pulsating instrumental "Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour Theme" Ding ding ding!
RIP Bob Barker, you’ll be missed by many and TPIR wouldn’t have been here without you 🪦🕊️
6:48 plays in my head all the time, especially when shopping or maybe writing a list.
Yes! These cues were the ones I grew up with! They were the best.
I Love The Moog Sound ❤
Moog makes me genuinely happy and these make me so FRICKIN' HAPPY! I need some extended ones cause these go HARD!

The grooves are just so deep. Who gave Edd Kalehoff the right to make those grooves so deep?! The absolute AUDACITY!
12:50 Looks Like The Theme Song!
12:50 It's not the theme song, it's the Ticket Plug Cue.
7:41 I can boogey to that one....my favorite
4:25--My favorite.
I can't get no instrumentally satisfation. Love it!.

0:55 My favorite Moog cue from the 1972 reel.
Side note: I wish I could find footage of the first perfect showcase bid from this era.
The name of that track is "Prize v3"
you have great taste! that's my favorite, goes all the way to 2:05.
This has always been one of my favorites cues
Love al the varations on the Tickets theme.
14:21 The jewel in the crown of the moog reel.
You're got taste with these cues/themes.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I hope you've enjoyed the music as much as I have. Sending good positive vibes your way today.
@@positivespin5090 I love these, too, a great way to say goodbye to TV city in Hollywood, where TPIR taped for 51yrs.

I'd like to see George Gray read the prize copy with this music now. The plugs go by so fast nowadays.
Nothing says the 1970's like THESE TPIR music cues do!!! Thanks for posting them, PS!! :) :)
8:27 Gotta love the single loud drumbeat in this cue.
this sounds like the composer is trying things out to see what works... real interesting find!
Composed by Score Productions' Moog master Edd Kalehoff
I think a lot of these were done with the MiniKorg 700.
Love the funky version at 6:00
Love the one from 0:56-1:1:36!
Think that one has been replayed from 1972-2010s...........the classic
The classic electronics cue.
Wow you got so many Showcase Showdowns!
Cool

these did not need to go as hard as they did
The first couple of tracks sound like the soundtrack of a water level in an NES game.
This is completely incredible. I wish I had been alive in the ‘70’s. This is just about the most far out shit I’ve ever heard.
Does cbs still have all the old cues?
0:24 sounds "chopped and screwed" LMAO!!
BTW: Could someone post the Cue names for each segment? Thanks!
I was born in 1972

6:48....................THAT'S what I came here for!!!!!! Can anyone tell me the name of that cue?!! 7:40, too!!!!!!
At 6:48, This is Showcase #1.
7:40 - Showcase #2.
3:27 That Unknown Cue?
I've got this labelled as "Prize v11"
I love this
That’s cue 35
@@positivespin5090 Production titles can be really disorganized.
Do you have the losing horns? If so, can you upload them?
Just type in „Price Is Right Losing Horns“ into Google or You Tube and you‘ll be able to find them.
You know, it would be cool if a moog version of the losing horns was recorded.
The price is wrong Bob.
That's not quite what Happy Gilmore told him. 😂

Thanks so much. Some of my favs also. I’ve been looking for 3:01 forever .
@@erikkaiser5730 The name of that track is "Prize v10"
@@positivespin5090 I feel like it was a wise choice to not include the full reel.
THE MUSIC ON TODAY'S SHOW IS AWFUL AS IS DREW CAREY
No doubt about that, bro.
