I have a SL550... Creepy top so I just returned from MB to get lube /sealant. I saw your clip while looking how to apply the lube, but, I had no idea of how to clear the drain tubes... Great tip. Thanks...
Silicone grease (found in the plumbing section) or dielectric grease (auto parts stores) is probably what they are selling as lubricant for much more money. neither will deteriorate rubber like Vasoline or other oils can.
I have a 2005 Saab ARC Convertable, after using it a few times i noticed fluid on the drivers side, and it wont go down anymore, there SOO expensive to fox , i was wondering if you could use Hydraulic Oil Stop Leak on Hydraulic tops?
Mine leaks ok both sides - same spot... middle top of window - like water is storing there - used a straight coat hanger - can’t seem to find block and problem is still there

Don't use a coat hanger, you can rip holes in your rubber seals. try using hot soapy water
Thank u
