as a uw-madison 2000 alum i attended many protests in my day but i never harassed other students in the process. it's sad this had to happen but it is what it is.

Establishment types and people who are older often denigrate the passions of young adults.
Well, a lot of them are short sighted and overly emotional. They protest because they don't see the bigger picture. Just like not voting for Hilary because of Bernie. Now look at the Supreme Court we have. I told my daughter this so many times.
I mean following simply instructions helps, too.
These protests are easy to end. Give students 1 hour to leave or be expelled. Non-students should be jailed.
Free speech as long as their speech supports Isreal.
There are students on this campus among others who are in their fourth year who are trying to get into Med school, teacher's College, Law school or their Master's programs who are being denied their final exams and classes. They are free to protest all they want, but why ruin the lives of your fellow students. Not all students are rich, many students and their families have/are struggling for them to be there. I am remembering my and my brother's Uni days and what it took to get there.

No protestor on UW madison is stopping anyone from getting a law degree or a medical degree. Those buildings are so far away from the library mall. Don't talk about what you don't know about.

@@KoolK15 I haven't seen it. They refuse to talk to most interviewers and They walk away when you ask for specifics. They also throw a fit when asked about the bad actors and tactics involved in the protest. It's easy to just say free Palestine. It's hard to actually have a cohesive plan on how that would happen.

Disappointing that this video segment was introduced as "chaos" at UW-MADISON. The viewer was prepared for truncheons, tear gas and violence. As an alum just there this week, this largely appeared to be a show of restraint by law enforcement and a vigorous crowd of protestors exercising their rights, with only a few exceptions. Calling this "chaos" whatever side one may take is unhelpful. This scene may not end well in coming days, but MSNBC, just do better.
If MSNBC wanted to show some actual “if it bleeds it leads” “chaos,” they shoulda been at UCLA last night. Of course, that would mean they’d have to report on who caused the chaos.

What many university students, faculty and staff are calling for is divestment of any university financial gain from Israeli organizations. That's a good question and it's one that Brown among other schools are showing willingness to consider.
