@@dreadthegamer6997 It's beautiful to us because we understand the meaning behind it. Palangis think our mata ora is supposed to be intimidating, when it's not. It simply tells our life story.
All our history, our heroes our chiefs our warriors and battles was and still is passed down through waiata (songs and chants, Haka and school of learning. We understand the amplification of using certain hill forms and structures to carry our voices and the distance sound could travel at night and early morning, we were definitely one with our environment.
I believe us as māori people are missing that connection to our land. (If you don't live in Aotearua) I've been in Aus for the majority of my life, but this past year I've decided I want to learn more about my culture. I joined a kapa haka group & it was the best decision I've made. I love singing with the bros & the hakas... especially the hakas. Just so much mana in our culture that not everyone gets to experience. I am blessed to be māori & love every secomd of it.
Love use wirihana hare and Naps use had me in tears😭....
