With the activities included, it was just about ~$2800 USD per person for the entire trip. That is for what you see in this video. Pricing will will be different for everyone depending on excursions booked, seasonality, room type, and any additional add-ons in terms of dining. I believe pricing also varies depending on when you booked as well. For my trip, I did not do any additional dining packages, or alcoholic drinks. I saved all of my money for the excursions, which you can see listed in the description of this video. It's also worth noting that i booked all of my excursions through Disney Cruise Line, which makes each excursions more expensive than booking activities independently. I prefer paying a bit of the extra premium however due to the convenience of Disney handling the logistics, along with the insurance in case excursions do get canceled (usually because of weather for Alaska). I hope this helps!!
My wife and I have this cruise booked for next year and are looking forward to it so much. For us we prefer the Magic & Wonder because they are smaller and have more theming that I consider Disney. How did you like this cruise?
In my opinion, the Magic and Wonder are the best ships! Alaska has been our family’s favorite cruise to date. It really is unmatched when it comes to viewing raw nature & wildlife. depending on the time of year, there also is the possibility of viewing the Northern Lights! I think you will enjoy the cruise very much. Wishing you a fun and pleasant journey next year!!
Great video!! What are your thoughts on the Juneau Glacier Seaplane exploration? I think my family and I would love to do something like that on our trip next year
Honestly you can't go wrong with any aerial excursion. The Juneau Glacier Seaplane one is very cool because the flight path covers 5 different glaciers all within a 45 min flight. You wouldn't be able to see those glaciers otherwise, so I highly recommend!! Of all the aerial excursions offered through DCL, the Juneau Glacier Seaplane is by far the best bang for buck. There are more expensive ones listed, but a more expensive Port Adventure does not necessarily mean it is better. If i were to do it again, this excursion would be the one.
@@jjmasounds good! Thanks so much for the detailed response. Hopefully I can get that one booked (I’m only a silver cruiser). How was the flight? Was it “smooth”? We’ve never been on a small plane like that lol
@@dwl0222 for us that one was available until just days before the sail date. In general for Juneau, the ones that sell out first are the Dog Sled and Glacier Walking excursions (both by helicopter).
This video is amazing!!! Can’t wait to go next year. Quick question, what musical score/music did you use while you were flying up in the air? I couldn’t find it. It’s at min 30 or so
Hi! Thank you! it’s just royalty-free music from online. there are a few sites that offer it, and there are a ton of tracks to choose from. hope this helps!
Amazing work and beautiful videography!!! Question, how do you get the Timelapse’s of the sailing away as well as the maintenance areas of the ship? Do you have a list of devices you use?? Awesome job again!
Hey there! Thanks! Timelapse is pretty simple. The ship has a public area on deck 10 up front. Just clamp it somewhere and push record. The maintenance area, where the anchors are suspended, are a public area at the forward section of the deck 4 promenade walking path. It's only closed down when the anchors are in use. Otherwise, anyone can see it! I can put a list of devices I used in the description section. a lot of people have been asking that. 80% of the video was shot on iPhone.
@@jjma that’s great information!! With the clamp, do you worry about people taking that or is it that nobody notices it? Also, we’re those nature shots with iPhone, because those were amazing!! If so, which iPhone model?
@@nicwilliams7076 Oh no, the nature shots required higher zoom that the iPhone 14 wasn't capable of. For those, i used a Canon r5 (are you able to tell the difference?) My family and I are going on the Alaskan cruise in August. They seem to like to keep a lot of details secret ahead of time. Do you know when we will be able to see restaurant menus and what the themes will be (Frozen, Pirate Night, etc)? Thanks
Oh nice how fun! Yeah. If you want the schedule BEFORE the cruise, I heard from some people that if you call in DCL directly, they can provide the schedule over the phone. I've never done it myself though. Otherwise, the entire cruise schedule will be available on the DCL app upon connecting to the ship's wifi. There you will see the schedule for all of the shows for the week, along with the menus and dining table assignments for the entire week. I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!!
When was this video actually made? My family is going on this exact cruise in August, but I am hoping to get a little better weather. Other than that, great video. Thank you
@@chrisbohannon2765 oh nice. that’s a pretty serious setup you have there. it took a great deal of patience learning the strengths and weaknesses of my device. The r5 is pretty hard to work with at those high zoom levels. I had to get creative with ways to hold it still.
Yea it was a port adventure. Depending on the weather and wildlife, the cruise ship can get closer to the glacier, but our day it was pretty far away, making the port adventure a bit more worth it. hope this helps!
Hi! The plane rides were not included in the base fare. Those excursions are operated by third party companies, and Disney will get allocations for guests to purchase those excursions. - 5 Glacier Plane Ride Juneau - $369 USD per person - Taku Glacier Helicopter + Airboat - $939 USD per person - Misty Fjords Seaplane - $569 USD per person The excursions in Alaska are very expensive due to high insurance costs of operating the airplanes/helicopters.
The helicopter to the Taku glacier was rather expensive. It was $939 per person when booked through Disney. Booking through Disney guarantees you a refund if weather is bad, and the ship will also wait for you if the excursion is running behind. So it's kind of like buying insurance for any logistical hurdles. If you want to book direct, the company's name is NorthStar Helicopters. I think the age minimum is 7+ for the particular excursion we went on. I hope this helps!
As an Alaskan, this reconfirms that I will Never take a cruise. I take my personal boat down Gastineau Channel and these ships are inconsiderate with the wakes they produce nearly sinking my boat. It would be nice if they had a no wake zone for these floating cities. I travel up Tracy/Endicott and come around a corner in my small 20 foot boat and once again there is a giant wake nearly swamping me. Come on, be considerate. Pretty unfriendly and dangerous to others for Disney.
Really sorry to hear about your experience with the bigger ships. Alaska has a stunning landscape, unlike any other in the US. As someone from the East coast, this trip was an incredible privilege to see the raw nature of this young state. My hope is that everyone would have the opportunity to be able to experience and truly appreciate Alaska, however I am also a firm believer that it should never be at the expense of the locals. Hopefully the state authorities and the cruise companies can work out something that would be fair. You live in an amazing state, and I would never advocate for disruptions to occur like that.
I promise it was a blast of an experience! But totally understand it may not be for everyone. I will say though that Alaska is an amazing destination to see.

@@jjma wah, thank you for the information sir! I'm glad to hear that. Thank you so much 😊
How much was this cruise?
that entirely depends on the season and what port excursions are booked. At a minimum, you are looking at around $2000 USD per person.
Big shipneed a lot of solar power to get it going. Probably costs billions to own one.
@@mobileplayers5008 no solar power on these. That’d be insane though 🤯
日本では2027年にディズニークルーズが出港しますよ
I hope to try a cruise in Japan!

Eh looks ok. Not worth the price
I promise it was a blast of an experience! But totally understand it may not be for everyone. I will say though that Alaska is an amazing destination to see.
Looks like the most dull cruise ever!! Never going on this cruise, ever!!!
Looks amazing from my perspective!! Great work JonJay!
@bradcorbett1128 sorry to hear that. i promise it was fun!
Слава богу что Аляска досталась Америке, было бы наше ( русское) был полный п....ц, зверей бы всех перебили, рыбу в реках вырезали, леса бы повырубали на продажу Китаю. СЛАВА ВСЕВЫШНЕМУ!
It would be a shame to see nature like this destroyed. I am glad it is kept in its raw form!
Great video! We chatted at the very end of the day 2 glacier explorer excursion. You offered to take my husband and my photo and we learned of your channel. Also, spotted ourselves in your video a couple times. It was a wonderful cruise, thank you for all your hard work putting this together and capturing the Disney Wonder Alaska cruise experience. Felt like we relived the trip!
