I learn French at school since five years. It´s awesome to see that I can understand him whithout the subtitles. I love French, it sounds like music ^^
When one doesn't speak French, adds subtitles and realises that the subtitles cover and make invisible exactly the feet, while the fencer is explaining footwork... 😂 Can you do something about this?
sad theres little to no passing footwork in olympic fencing. and we also see a lack of back-step dodges; thats like the essence of rapier. also weird that we dont see any off-hand usage at all, why is the off-hand off limits? especially in epee and foil, its not like the smallsword had edges. even some rapiers didnt have edges. even if it does have edges, you can just slap it away on the flat. better than getting skewered. the sabre should be less flimsy, and a bit broader, so that they can make it non-conductive on the flat and back. i mean, with a light-sabre, flat hits wont even hurt. and the sabre is single edged. this sport strayed so far away from fencing, its sad to call it fencing now. i mean, i like it, thats why im watching this, im just a bit frustrated that it cant do better than this. i complain, because i want to see it return to its glory. some of these fencing schools are centuries old, yet they dont even teach swordfighting anymore. make fencing great again. olympic fencing can learn so much from historical fencing. or maybe we just add electricity to historical fencing and replace olympic fencing?
