Hey guys, as an owner of one of these camo monster since October 2020, I am simply loving it here in Washington state! Put in near 800 miles on it now and still going strong. And yes, I was paying a bit less than what it cost now but that was due to inflation, tariff, etc.
I wholly agreed about the quality of the components, for example, those tires themselves out lasted twice of what I got from my Kendra ones on my old ebike and still have plenty of treads showing little wear! The fast charger also charges both batteries at the same time via a port on the frame or charges individually. I could and have gone on and on about what I loved about this bike in past comments.
One of my minor complain was the bike has NO brake light and the trail light was only powered by AA batteries. I solved the power issue by running and strapping a 6' long USB cable from the USB charging port near the handle bar to a tail light
Dave Cleveland, the owner and his extremely helpful customer service Rachel have been nothing but outstanding in answering and all questions and follow ups!

@BenBenson ... Heck no, LOL. with both motors going, I felt like I was riding with a full nest of buzzing bees! That bike is LOUD, from the motors and tires.... then again, going at near 34mph at times and with the wind blowing pass my motorcycle helmet, I wouldn't know what was noisier.
      - - -
Can I sneak up on an animal!? Probably not. Using it to get to somewhere that I could leave the bike behind and stalk prays on foot? Yes.
      - - -
Hell, I equate this bike like the tanks I commanded. Noisy and even with camo paint... imposing and wouldn't hide well; it simply announces its presence. But I do enjoy the heck outta it!

@BenBenson... same here, never hunted myself and would not do so for sports! Yes, this just reminded me of my tanks- build very rugged indeed. Take care and be safe wherever you are.

@@SeasonalObsession ... hey, if you do get one, I hope you would enjoy it as much as I have. Granted, it's NOT the perfect dream bike, then again, nothing will always be perfect in life. Even as I bragged about this bike, there are little things that I would have like to see improved upon... sturdier headlight mounting, better front mud guard stability, internal powered brake light, and instead of bar end rear view mirrors that turned the bike to the width of an aircraft carrier, I'd like mirrors clamped onto the handle bar instead, etc. Still, it's the overall experience of riding this bike was what really counted! Ride safe. Enjoy.

Have had mine for two weeks. Love the bike. Didn't get some of the named parts I was contracted to get. The Rockshox rear was replaced with a BNM. This thing is a beast. When comparing to an average mountain bike, thin F350 vs F150. I have had to adjust several things like brakes due to rotor noise. Can't wait for the mountain passes to open for the season.

I have been waiting for a review for this ebike for a LONG time. I found out about this ebike in a top 5 fat wheel ebike a couple of months ago, and this is ranked number 1 (the video didn’t show much detail on ebike like you did, but it’s a top 5 video). I couldn’t find any full reviews about this ebike until now. This maybe a ebike for me, my old ebike is one thread away to the trash And I hope to buy this ebike when the time comes.

You can buy a good retail ebike for half the costs--like i did--and buy a front hub motor and kit off ebay for 200 dollars--it is a 2 hour job at a bike shop and I might help them to learn. I paid 1700 and for another 700--I have suspension seat and seatposts--1000 watt front hub motor--200 dollars-(1800 watt peak)--a 48 v 20 ah battery for 200 dollars and about 150 to 200 dollars to have it professionally installed. I looked at this bike but man its 4k--plus I have a 20 inch which is easier to manage and with dual batteries and dual independent motors with seperate controllers--I will have over 3000 watts of power.I also have a 750 bafang on a 20 inch CSC and it is pulling 1300 to 1400 watts ip hills--so they might be beibg conservative to keep this close to legal. I have 96 v and 34 ah--and since i pedal with PAS 3--I will have 80 plus mile range.I can do 55 plus right now on half the battery.I will use the 750 to PAS and when I get to offroad trails and hills will use the 1000, The 1000 will also have its own controller and folks with a dual 750 setup are doing 28 up hills--so i should be able to do 32 up a hill. I will be throttle only with the 1000--and with its own seperate controller will have full power all the time. This is a great bike--but at 4k you are in surron and segway 260 price. If money were no object--I would get this bike--but they are adding almost 2k for a front hub motor and battery that you can get for about 1/5th the price--and you are getting a bigger more powerful motor and its own controller since the kits have the controllers included--so i will always be able to get home if one of these fails. 2400 dollars as oppsed to 4k plus.Reason i did this is because you have to assemble the frot end of these bikes and I might as well get a better hub motor and battery for the price.

Ok, I have to laugh. Several times during the video it's mentioned how beefy this bike is, and at 95lbs it's not for those who only want a basic commuter. I've ridden motorcycles since I was 15 years old, I'm 60 years old now. 95 lbs is less than 1/6th the weight/bulk of the average motorcycles I've ridden. This would feel like a kids toy under me, but that's not a bad thing. Yes, don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking this ebike for even a second. Like I said, I'm 60 years old now, and the years have taken their toll on joints and strength. I think I would have a blast knocking around on a bike like this, and I might just have to go pick one up. Really looks awesome.

Just an added note, this bike is so heavy and with over sized tires that usual bike racks would not accommodate; I have to buy a motorcycle carrier that would take lighter motorcycle for my trailer hitch, and the included ramp helps greatly getting this beast onto the rack and strapped down. No bungees here but a couple of motorcycle ratchet tie down straps to keep the hundred pounder in place. Hope you all are still enjoying and taming this E-Cell beast

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I ride RadRover from Rad Power and everything you did in this review is nothing different than what my RadRover does. I wanted you to conquer some hills and real off road. You past a nice 10-12 foot hill on one of these trails that I was wondering, would you try climbing it? I gotta admit, the first year with my RadRover, I was jumping curbs and pushing the bike as fast as it can go and, the bike stood up to all the abuse I threw at it and it still does. Not anymore, tho. This is my soul source of transportation and nowadays, I ride it just the way you were riding this Crown Monarch in this review...like, I don’t push my RadRover anymore. So, not much different than my RadRover other than, the two battery packs (needed for two 500 w motors) duel suspension (which I have on RadRover from a Suntour Suspension Seatpost), the top speed of 52 Km, when RadRover is 40KM...not stock, stock is the same as Monarch, to get the top speed at 40KM you go into the secret menus just like the Monarch. It would be stupid to go faster than 40KM on a city sidewalk however, that difference in speed in the Monarch, will allow for much more power in pulling and pushing the Monarch up steep inclines and very powerful at slow speeds. I really want this Monarch bike!

With 9 times the power and dual traction, this Crown should fly, and give you a nice looking but in the process. I'm 160lb, and my Ancheer is about 60 lb, so 30 more pounds for this monster should be all additional power to climb.

The individual motors are 400 rpm/85Nm of torque, plus 52V. Don't believe the hype that applying two motors gives you the same torque as one. With two motors you are doubling the power to the ground.
The advantages of AWD Electric Bikes
Power: Two motors can easily do what one will not.
Redundancy: If one motor fails you have another as a backup. If both motors fail you can still ride the bike home.
Traction: What good is having extra power if you can’t deliver it to the ground? With a dual-motors driving two wheels at the same speed you are delivering twice the power to the ground. The AWD E-Bike easily travels through soft sand, mud, and snow.
Increased Speed: The AWD electric bicycle will produce a 16% higher speed for the same amount of power that would be applied to a single motor. 28mph vs 24mph
Efficiency: With AWD you can travel further with the same battery and power of a single wheeled powered E-Bike. And, because of the 16% increase of speed for the same wattage you can travel 16% farther with an AWD e-bike. This is truly “synergy in motion”.
Less Trail Damage: Another consideration is that when riding on trails in the National Park system single wheel E-Bikes tear up the trails more than a AWD E-Bike of equal power because the power is split between two wheels.
Durability: The dual motors run more than 50% cooler than a single motor under high stress.
Better Handling: On dry pavement, AWD can help the E-Bike handle better and ensure that full power gets to the road. And in slippery conditions, such as ice, snow or mud, it provides additional traction for safer, more confident handling. The front motor also assists in pulling you through the corners.
All season riding: With an AWD E-Bike you can ride year-round.
Peace of mind: Regardless of where you live, it’s likely you get at least occasional bad weather. Whether it’s snow, rain or anything in between, you’ll certainly sleep better knowing you have an E-Cells Super Monarch AWD™ E-Bike when the going gets really tough !

      - - -
The second time was following my mountain bike buddy going down a steep single track in a wooded area; I was unable to make a turn around a sharp bend on the trail as this bike was massive with long wheel base. In order to prevent myself from going off the side of the trail and down a steep slop, I have do dump the bike and it landed on me, needing my buddy to help me get it off me and back on my feet! So, yes, I could go to many places but I am also learning its limitations! I would treat this bike like a lower power motorcross and keep that in mind and all should be great.

So that's about 3 hp, but much more usable: What is top speed? Do all states allow use without registration? Half the weight with the same capability as a Honda 70 or even 100, and not noise, smoke, and hassle; but, do you expect any reduction in weight with the same capability? I'm hoping to afford it soon, but I love a light vehicle that I can lift across obstacles.

The bike was designed for off-road and as such will easily propel a 225lb person over 35mph. At those speeds your not legal to ride on the streets, however, if you do, one motor can be shut off and remain a class 2 750 watt bike.

    • @khronin
      @khronin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I am sure it can.I have a single bafang 750 and am able to go up steep trails with it.But I am adding a 1000 watt front hub motor--there are videos of these and with 2wd you can eat hills easily. My estimate is 28 to 32 mph up a hill after mine is done--but I will have more power then this and a smaller bike that I am converting.I bought a 20 inch non folding ebike for 1700 and for another 700 am converting it to AWD--I will have more power--more range then this and will have cost me half the price.

    • @khronin
      @khronin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

BTW you have to assemble these and build the front ends--so no sense to pay 2k for basically a front hub motor kit when you can buy them off ebay or amazon or alibaba for a fraction of the price and design what you want. I have videos of what mine can do on one motor and by next week will have an AWD version and a video of me taking a very hard mountain trail--backwards--meaning I will be going up a difficult trail the wrong way to show the capability--I already did it on one motor--it strained--but i did it and only got off the bike once--If I had to just pedal--I would have had to walk half the time--so these ebikes make a huge diffrence. My bike will be as offroad capable as this or a sauron and at least with this bike and mine--they look like bikes and are way less likely to be bothered by police unless you are really speeding.I do not plan on going above the mid 30s anyway--over 30 is very fast and a wipeout can really hurt you going over 30.

As a Hawaii resident, that's a very reasonable price.
You can completely replace scooters that cost about 5 grand that people use around here. A 60 mile round trip means people even living off grid can charge at work.
Many of the "roads" here can even be inaccessible to scooters. 4wd only, or similar, on terrain near to lunar glass.
