    It's good to know that there are people of faith still out there. I am religious, but don't throw it in everyone's face. It's important to have a belief in God. Some people stop believing due to anger over something that happened in their life. I have been one of those people, but came back to the faith, which wasn't easy. I pray anyone who has fallen away will eventually come back. God's Blessings. Thank you for covering this topic.

      I like how atheists are trying to feel out what interpretation of God you believe in (if any) so they can strawman it into a caricature that seamlessly align with their personal prejudices lol

      @@real_exodus Atheists may do that from time to time but the question that I asked is not only legitimate, it's important. Not every religious belief is right (that would be impossible), and not every religious belief actually draws you closer to the intelligence behind the universe, even though it feels like it does. What a person believes and why greatly matters.

    Chris Pratt has been criticized by the so-called social justice warriors for his Christian faith & belonging to a Christian denomination that's allegedly homophobic. He's entitled to a belief in God's existence so give him a break.

    • @leoinsf
      @leoinsf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am sorry!
      Homophobia is anti-Christian!
      Anyone in a denomination that is homophobic really does not know Christ and His message of love and acceptance.
      Therefore, they are really not fully Christian!
      Unfortunately, most Christian denominations do not accept gay marriage, therefore they are homophobic.
      If you wonder why young people are not attending Church, just realize that young people see the basic contradiction of most Christian denominations.
      Being fully charitable and leaving homophobia outside the church doors should be the focus of true religion!!!

    • @walterty3627
      @walterty3627 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leoinsf You have a point. I am a lapsed Roman Catholic heterosexual who stopped attending most church services years ago because of issues involving birth control, homosexuality, abortion, & of late, pedophilia/child abuse scandals within this institution. I consider myself secular who believes in religious plurality as long as violence isn't espoused to achieve a goal. Because of the aforementioned issues afflicting the Vatican, I am not inclined to return to its fold.

      @@johna.4334 Your worry re "buggery" (spell it right, stupid!) is why the Christian faith is on its way out.
      People, not sexual acts are the point of religion.

      Corrected.
      Question: Where in the Bible does it say that it is acceptable for two males to lie down with each other and engage in anal sex?

    • @leoinsf
      @leoinsf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johna.4334 Speaking as a homosexual, you are missing the whole point of sexuality that 1. all people are created by God
      2. some of the people created by God are born gay 3. being born gay is not necessarily about sexual performance but personality
      4. homosexuals were created by God to be who they are.
      (It is interesting that when you speak about homosexuality, you seem to dwell on anal sex when homosexual sex is as diverse as heterosexual sex.
      Start recognizing that the whole issue about male homosexuality isn't all about anal sex, it is about mutual attraction.)
      It is obvious that you are one of the bible-phobic Christians that feel that the Bible is some kind of religion in itself when it isn't.
      Christianity is all about the Christ (in the word Christianity). Jesus and the message of love that Jesus brought into the world is what Christianity is all about.
      Unfortunately, religions like the one you practice are the "Pharisee-religion" that Jesus talked about. Pharisee-religion focuses on sin and the the need to avoid sin as the focus of our existence when in my book it is about my personal relationship with my Savior.
      The reality is that Christianity is about people: the people Jesus died on the cross for.
      As long as Christians like you choose to be Pharisees, Christianity will begin to lose relevance and if you look at our young people of today, that is exactly what is happening!

      @@michaelmcdonald8452 yes it certainly is, and its not how many sins one comitts per- say but rather weather or not one WILFULLY sins!However, it doesn't give one a open license to WILFULLY SIN!! Its called Repentance which means to Turn away from that sin!
      Although one may struggle with repentance, ( for we all sin,) and fail at it, it still doesn't mean they get to keep doing it WILFULLY its a fine line actually! Its all about the heart and if one is TRULY. Wanting to turn away from that particular sin and is trying and wanting to repent to please the Lord! I believe thats what he was trying to convey! Asking forgiveness and repenting are two totally different entities! The Thief on the cross did not actually have time to repent but the Lord saw that his heart was truly repentaful and that he was truly sorry for his act against God, therefore from this day forward he shall be with me in paradise! They had a multi-step rating system that was similar to, but not identical with, the MPAA ratings currently in use. If the Legion, whose reporting was usually found in the vestibule of every Catholic Church, said that a particular motion picture should not be seen by any Catholic, the studio that produced it knew that a large part of their target market would stay away from the box office.
